‘It’s probably anxiety’ Honestly the FIRST response from any doctor when you are a 20 something year-old woman presenting with a physical health issue. It’s so so bad but we have to advocate for ourselves because doctors don’t take us seriously. So sorry to hear this happened to you with something so serious. Very glad that you’re doing well now ❤️

Doctor said I had anxiety when I told him I couldn't focus on people speaking. I said no, I can't understand their language. He said that its probably from everyone wearing masks (it was during covid). I said NO, this happened way before 2020 -- its getting worse. He sent me for a hearing exam which came back normal and then a neuropsych test that confirmed no audio processing. At the end he offered Ativan. I said NO. Finally, the next female doctor I saw scanned my brain. Golf ball sized tumor. Told it was anxiety for 3 years.

I had cancer 44 years ago chemo and all but I've been in remission for years and am glad it was caught in time. It was caught at a time when I was having terrible symptoms (brain cancer) and the children's hospital, one of the best for children, so they say missed it until I was less than a month from death. I'm grateful my dad got me to a specialist who knew what he was doing and here I am 60 years old and able to share. You are a very courageous young woman, stay well, stay safe and God bless.

Interesting health info. I am much older and in 2016 was diagnosed with non Hodgkins lymphoma chronic lymphocytic leukemia. I too had swollen glands, weight loss and ear infections. My oncologist decided to watch and wait. I was stage 0 or 1. He waited till I was stage 3 to treat. In 2018 I had 6 months 2 rounds each month and in june was 4 years since I finished chemo. I just got put on 6 month visits and feel great. Chronic type can come back but I avoid infections that can trigger it. Glad you're well. Hodgkins is fully treatable.

Hi Olivia, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that the cacer will stay away. Best regards Chris “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16 (King James Version Bible) Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son Of God the Father.

I'm much older & not officially diagnosed with cancer, but MGUS + a co-morbidity of chronic progressive neuropathy. I feel the two are linked but it hasn't been proven. The blood problem is not treated yet as it's 'only' at 20g/litre (30g/litre is considered cancer). If/when it progresses it usually becomes Waldenstroms macroglolinemia, a treatable but not curable blood cancer. 3 years ago I was as fit as a fiddle and looking forward to a long and healthy retirement. Because of the neuropathy I get around in a wheelchair now( paraplegia heading towards quadraplegia) and spend one week in four getting IVIG treatment, which doesn't seem to be working. I'll be 65 in a couple of weeks. My advice to anyone who 'doesn't feel right' is go see your GP and if you're convinced something isn't right, insist on at least a basic blood work up. Abnormal immunoglobulins will produce a 'spike'. (Mine was discovered 4 years ago and has been progressing in stops and starts since then - It recently doubled, so instead of getting checked every 6 months I now get checked every 2 months). I suspect the root cause of all this was getting glandular fever about 4 years ago. The virus has been linked to some cancers I think I read somewhere. Doctors know a lot of stuff but only you know your body from the inside. 3 years ago My GP had done quite a few tests and asked me if I thought I was ill. I told her I knew I was ill. She thought I needed to see a psychologist at that point. 3 years on my quality of life isn't great, though I'm greatful to be almost pain-free.

im a 20 year old still active heroin addict. its been 4 years since ive started consuming heroin, and eventhought ive never injected it, i only smoke it, is it such a challenge and problem for me. i starteted searching for any kind of medical treatment again, but this time i wanted someone more professional than an addiction center “doctor” so i went to this very nice, non-junkie looking clinic and to my surprise they wanted my urine and blood to test me for aids etc which alot of addicts sadly have to deal with. when the results came back my doctor seemed very concerned about the production of my white blood cells (i dont have the original term rn but u prop know what i mean) i didnt know what that meant. he told me its probably nothing serious, i probably have a worm or smth. I WAS TERREFIED. talking to another doctor who assured me i dont have a worm but theres concern for a few types of cancer. especially with my symptoms which i only really felt when i havent consumed in a while and thinking it was just withdrawal. on monday all the tests and stuff are starting. they are checking for leukemia and lymph cancer i think and something else. and im so in shock still. i mean it could be nothing but i tbh dont have a good feeling about all of this. my mother is crying and calling me every half hour. i really dont know what is now coming my way but i thought a little bit about it and i dont know if i want chemo or any of these treatments… i really feel like if i get a dignosis that thats gonna be it. i struggle so much with my mental health, with my job, with my addiction with my private family and friends situations and realtionships. i feel like i cant now on top of all that fight this disease. well… i guess i will know everything soon enough.

I got like every single symptom but my blood work says no.🤷♀️ Can't stand being around a building without cold I sleep with the fan on if it's warm in my room because I will start sweating. One time I sweated really badly and the freaking fan was on. I got pain in my chest whenever it feels like hurting it's on and off and there's no alcohol involved it just hurts whenever it wants to. I have also had a chest xray apparently nothing is wrong. I have small lung scars tho. Diagnosed with anemia. Literally looking at a red spot on my arm that's been there for a couple days no pain to it so it's not a bruise and I'm like why is it here on my arm? It's slightly big so it's more like purpura. In all honesty I stopped thinking about cancer for a good while now until this thing on my arm showed up. Ever since I got fatigued my body has been acting very strangely I've gotten moles I've never had before and I've heard that they are a sign of my body defeating cancer but I don't know if it's true or not. I've also had a lump show up twice in the same spot in the same exact way it starts off hard and then it turns soft and bubbly like a cyst. My body's just acting a fool. I also itch but it might be something else causing it because I have had sensitive skin since childhood. My platelets are good my white blood cell count is okay... My body just hates me. It just decided to give me problems out of nowhere. It just feels like it's trying to happen but my body is fighting it off.

Im concerned but not worried because i know I can deal with whatever comes my way.

I ty for reaching out to me!!! I’m truly getting scared I looked up my symptoms and it says I should go to the hospital and that it’s in stages. I’m a single mom I’m scared of leaving my babies behind. I’m not scared to die but I’ve been to the hospitals before and they don’t do anything they won’t even drain my blood, which is one of the treatments and I have only had an a year and a half of treatment done because my blood clot it. I’m trying to find a new doctor but my health insurance is running out. I feel like the doctor I had doesn’t care if I live or die, won’t even listen to my symptoms and hasn’t even tried to help me at all any advice. Where would you happen to know any numbers I could call for help support group I don’t even have that. I’m seriously getting drained so badly truly scared thank you for your time. Thank you for being you.
