Hi.Thanks for posting this lesson. However, in the frame at 3:03, I think you need "a" as a modifier under "book"; you need a slanted divider between "is" and "cooking"; and you need a straight divider between "takes and "fishing." Also, I believe "seriously" should be diagrammed as an adverb under "takes." "Seriously" describes how she "takes," not "fishing." Hope this helps. Best regards.

Hello! I agree with your suggestions. But I think 'seriously' is at the right place as 'fishing' being a noun here is also in fact a verbal, i.e. a verb; therefore, 'seriously' is modifying 'fishing' not 'takes'. (For example: Reading seriously will enhance your understanding of English.) Here, 'Reading' is a noun but being modified by 'seriously' an adverb.

@@73108 no, I agree completely with joelnash on all of the points. I came here to write the same thing, but he even brought time stamps. fishing is something that you take seriously. fishing seriously is not something that you take.

to bake is her desire. desire is predicate nominative. the line should be inclined towards the linking verb is.

Hi sir, Can you help me please? How can I diagram the following sentence? Thousands of students were found buying pre-written essays online - a form of plagiarism that could be punished with expulsion.

The correct and true knowledge is rare. Everybody knows English, but a few know the correct English.
