Alternate explanation time: Sounds are just vibrations. Roar of Time distorts Dialga's own experience of time, during this time Dialga roars, speeding its own time up, resulting in a reverse black hole situation, this means the vibrations it produces are sped up to the observer/rest of the universe external to the time distortion, instead of a light flashing slower and slower, the roar vibrates faster and faster. Time is actually not just a concept for humans. Time is simply a fourth dimension *kind of* like x y and z. According to relativity, different reference frames can see events in a different order depending on acceleration. Also, E=mc^2 works through fusion, fission, and radiation, changing the mass per particle in a nucleus. And as you said, sound is a mechanical longitudinal wave, SOOOOO due to the fact that the energy is dependant on the pressure change between the contractions an rarefactions of the wave, only the pressure will be changing and not the temperature, therefore, fusion, fission, and radiation would not be possible. The voice box of dialga creating that sound would produce more energy, simply from friction than the roar would in heat energy.

What if the distortion of time is not a side effect of the attack ,but the actual effect of the move. What if Dialga distorts time and summons forth a force from another time. Maybe force of the creation of the universe ,maybe force after the heatdeath of the universe. *And the "roar" is just a metaphor for being loud. The loudness doesnt cause the distortion and the force ,but is the side effect.

Based off the Japanese name, sounds like Palkia just creates a disc shaped wormhole and sends it toward the target,thus splitting the target for a brief moment. Crits in this case are likely the Pokemon also getting the wind knocked out of it.

But lore wise, I personally think that dialga, palkia and giratina stronger dragon types than eternatus because eternatus is a poison/dragon type and it is only strong in it’s home region. Not the best dragon type but still a unique type combo. The creation trio has existed for a long time and they control time, space and antimatter, and if Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remakes do happened. They will receive new forms (possibly a primal reversion) and have a higher base stat totals than all dragon types even higher than eternatus. But designed wise, my favorite dragon type pokemon is eternatus and zygarde. But a super close second is ultra necrozma and giratina. I’m not the biggest fan of kyurem or any of the gen 5 legendary pokemon design. Gen 5 sucks when it comes to pokemon designs, especially that I think that design wise, kyurem is the worst third legendary dragon type. Because it’s base form looks ugly

Not only is it measurable (The Cesium in the clock, dude) there's some pretty good basis for time being the arrow of entropy moving us forward. Even freaking Steven Hawking mentions that we probably perceive time this way because there's no other way to form thoughts. Time is the arrow of causality. There's plenty of good definitions.

What if dialga does roar of time worked by creating waves (not nesisaraly sound) that are so strong they make atoms collide, the event would cause a chain of unimaginable energy and THAT would explain the roar and the damage. This kind of action would have a theoretical fallout as splitting a atom does, however we have no exact proof due to the amount of energy it would take to collide two atoms.

Okay, I got a cool explanation that could fit, based on the doppler effect. Basically, if Dialga travels towards the enemy emitting a sound, the enemy will hear a higher frequency, because the sound waves reach him faster. Now we can imagine that Dialga can travel REALLY fast, given that he can manipulate time as he wants: slowing time enough he could reach speeds very close to light speed. So a combination of yelling + getting close to the enemy could generate absurdly high pitch sounds (or low pitch if he gets further) that could do the enemy real bad.

Yes, Dialga's signature attack, Toki no Houkou officially means Roar of Time, but Houkou is more commonly used to mean Direction or Course. Perhaps like the English phrase 'in the course of time.' I think the name is a pun, he is literally attacking you with The Direction of Time by controlling it and launching it at you as a concentrated beam, while also being the embodiment of Time and Roaring with his attack (or the weaponized time itself makes a roaring noise). (Toki can also mean 'Battle Cry,' this wouldn't be the obvious reading, especially given the context, but it does add another layer of punning)

The loud sounds are at 12:30-12:46. Hey guys, ILY but a premature loud sound warning is useless for people who are sensitive to loud noises. In fact, it's worse for my anxiety. 4-6 second before is ideal.

what he meant about decibles was that unlike feet, meters, and other types of measurement that go by addition , decibles go by multiplication so the difference between 10 feet and 20 feet would be +10 but for decibles the difference between 10db and 20db would be 10x which means each decible increases tenfold
