what a delightful young human. :D this was fun to watch. I was looking for a video like that. I just recently gotten the Oxblood, mostly because my local store doesn't carry Writer's blood which is one of my favourite inks. Diamine does seem to have a lot of good reds.

Thank you both for the ink shootout! I’m a fan of Ancient Copper, but am now intrigued by Writer’s Blood. Would you consider pondering purples in another video?

Purples would be fun to do!

"Excuse my handwriting, it's...something." Mine too, kid, mine too! 😂 I love when your kid is on video and impressed with the wide vocabulary used. I prefer Blood Orange today, but next week could be different.😊 Great comparison video.

He's very fun to work with, and I know next week my colour choice will be different too!

I' a leftie underwriter. I don't smudge. And I love inks that (almost) never dry, like Organics Studio Nitrogen. Writer's blood is one of the wettest inks I own. And yes, it is significantly wetter than oxblood.

I'm a leftie and I don't smudge with Oxblood--but I write by turning the page 90° clockwise and write vertically down the page, and it's in a fine-nib pen. As to the question of "which one," Oxblood is the only one of the four I have.

Thank you for the comparison. I have been looking at the oxblood to replace my writer’s blood. Maybe. But that blood orange is nice. It might by my net ink sample.

Ancient Copper is my favourite of the four. Have you tried Red Dragon? Your kid is amazing, btw!

I haven't tried Red Dragon yet. It's always fun to do videos with Sam!

Well, you know I love Blood Orange 😉 have a sample f Writer’s Blood that I haven’t tried yet and I love how it looks n the page. I’ll have to get to it soon. I think I’m with you both - Blood Orange and Writer’s Blood.

I would love to get a bottle of Golden Honey (?) someday. It’s another triangle bottle. I keep worrying that they will stop selling the anniversary inks but I can’t let myself buy it when it’s in stock because I have SO much ink already.

I tried Writer's Blood, those dark reds just don't do it for me. Maybe I will try Ancient Copper some day. The only red I use, for side notes and highlighting, is Robert Oster Fire Engine Red, which is the most red red or truest red I could find. Anyway, thank you and your refreshing MC!

Which blood red inks with water resistant properties would you recommend?

Thank you for showing the Blood Orange,I hadn't seen it before;I think I love it! Probably my next ink purchase. Writer's Blood will always be one that I have in a pen;it's in my old Sheaffer's vintage pen now(I don't know the model). Like Oxford Blue,it behaves/flows so nicely. I have Ancient Copper;but, find I don't reach for it often. It seems to have a dusty/dull look to it. Seems to be a bit drier than some Diamine inks. I feel like I don't need to get Oxblood, it being somewhat similar to Writer's Blood(a color I really prefer anyway).
