Thank you, I needed that. Wikipedia describes the diamond structure as two intersecting fcc structures, with one shifted by (1/4, 1/4, 1/4)

Couldn't you just say it's a pyramid. Nature shows this as the Fibanici sequence as the spiral is what happens when you wrap a pyramid from the Apex to the base. Nature it's showing us this all the time, after all this is a Carbon reality (tetrahedron).
