@@aviator267 I'm guessing that you are an airline pilot. Do you guys make that kind of money to own a DA62? Just asking🙏

Upgrade to Nxi? Is the upgrade to the M600 still in the picture? Love the DA62 though, great bird 👍🏻
@wolfgangkarner3 жыл бұрын
Not an upgrade - NXi already had been installed in the DA62 (built 2019)! We were joking about the last complex software update ;-). Well an upgrade to a pressurized turbine plane is still on the schedule ... it certainly will take a while ;-)

Hey man, mind if I ask about your body height? Just wanted to get a sense about the space in DA62. Thanks, great video btw!
@wolfgangkarner Жыл бұрын
The pilot is about 180 cm and myself, the one with the camera, I am 190 cm. And I assure you, there is plenty of space left above my head. The DA62 ist the most spaceous plane of its class ...

Markus is lissening to the ATIS on the radio and is writing down things like wind information, runway in use, air pressure, etc. ....

@MathiasEmilKuntz19943 жыл бұрын
you forgot to switch the light to position lights after start up, usually done before avionics master. Also sorry to say this but you have to cut out your verbs from the checklist. Gear "is" down, Avoinics master "is" off
@wolfgangkarner3 жыл бұрын
Well, your remarks are totally inappropriate! According to the DA62 check list ACL (strobe lights) are set before engine start. And this was done and that's it! Concerning wording: this is not an airliner cockpit where all operations are performed under Crew-Recource-Management conditions and defined phraseology. So the wording of the (single) pilot can be performed individually and it is perfectly okay to say: the gear "is" down - as long as the gear IS down!

Even in airliners there are huge differences from company to company. For example, some airlines say "We go" instead of "V1", in order to put emphasis on the we will not discontinue anymore. And Wolfgang is correct: I also fly Diamond (42NG, the 4 seat version of this aircraft) and the strobes are used instead of the beacon (which there is none). Position lights are normally turned on before taxi, but not before engine start.
