I've always wanted to climb it! Finally got a touring rig, so now I'm just learning how to skin in bounds first.

Thank you for the video! My husband and I ski at Willamette pass all the time and we have been itching to get up diamond peak on our AT gear. You’ve made it look much less scary than I imagined. Any tips on where you got info to prepare?

Heck yeah, it was one of my favorite ski lines in Oregon! I got most of my route beta from Van Tilberg’s Oregon backcountry Ski Guidebook, used Gaia to navigate, and then just waited for the right weather and snowpack window. Also worth checking out skimountaineer.com-they have pretty good approach beta for all of the Cascade volcanoes.

I started about 1.5 miles up the road from the Pioneer Gulch TH which was where the snow line was impassable by car at the time.
