I had a yellow jacket infestation, when I rented a place in the mountains North of Asheville, NC. It was like Amityville! When the Priest gets taken by bees. The walk was pulsing in and out, from the nest moving. I was tripped out, and my girlfriend was scared to death, as they started crawling out the sockets in the wall and vents in the floor. The wall was cracking. They had a guy come and use a smoke, to put the to sleep, and they just left out died from some other stuff, and Orthomax Plus works for some, but we had drunken, half dead yellow jackets flying from crevices, for a week. It was like a horror movie.

FUN bee fact. Im a bee keeper and I LOVE bees. one of my favorite weird facts is how bees "hibernate" they clump up in a close ball and buzz around and all the heat from that keeps them warm. that's also why you could see them with an infrared camera. They then move as one around the hive eating the stored honey for most of winter. Bees also do a similar tactic to deal with invaders, using their wings surrounding the attacker and overheating the bug and essentially baking them alive. Its Crazy how fast and precise 10s to 100s of thousands of bees can move and act.

4:30 I know people are always freaked out about nascar safety but realistically, those cars are INSANELY safe. There have been cars that hit steel barriers at 180 MPH and the driver has gotten a broken rib or 2 from the harness. Thats it. Cars go flying 30 feet in the air and disintegrate so thoroughly that literally all thats left is the roll cage. The drivers just climb right out. Hell one time Edwards crashed on the last lap and literally got out of his car and sprinted to the finish line lol. One of the.impacts to reinforced concrete was measured at *180g*. That is so far beyond capable of killing someone. But since they introduced all the modern safety equipment a few decades ago it just...hasnt. And there is a good reason for it: The few times over the years there HAS been a severe injury or death (which hasn't happened in FOREVER, compared to formula 1 where people are constantly dying for some reason???) they have made damn sure it never happens again. Fireball roberts ironically dying in a fire after a crash many decades back? Welp, everyone now has to wear ridiculously fireproof suits and have fire extinguishers and they have firetrucks/EMTS stationed to be able to reach any part of the track in 30 seconds or less. Not happened since. Even when montoya crashed into one of the JET DRYERS a few years back (which obviously exploded because...tank of jet fuel), neither him or the guy driving the truck were injured. Both immediately got out and ran like hell for the infield though lol. Adam petty dying hitting a concrete wall head around 2000? Developed the safer barriers, (which unfortunately werent in place yet when earhardt crashed). They are FANTASTIC at cushioning impacts, even pretty hard ones dont usually cause more than a bit of bruising from the harness they are strapped in with. Also developed the HANS device around then, which drastically reduced the risk of head trauma. You can watch the internal cameras of drivers during even rollover crashes, and their heads aren't whipping around much at all. And speaking of earnhardt, he wasn't wearing his restraints properly. So they obviously started 0 tolerance policy for misusing safety equipment. Its why fans consider crashes fun. Obviously if people were dying it would be psychotic and horrible. But if you can see a fiery 20 car pileup with cars literally flying dozens of yards in the air, and everyone just immediately gets out and walks to the trucks that drive them off the track? Thats just cool. I would legitimately let a driver deliberately crash me on a NASCAR track because I think it would be INTERESTING. Thats how much confidence I have that id be ok. They have to go right to the infield medical centre after accidents for full workups too, and they have a helicopter specifically in case someone needs airlifted. I truly, genuinely believe they take safety more seriously than any other American sport does, and the engineering behind the cars construction and all the safety barriers and devices is genuinely fascinating, would highly recommend looking it up. Another note actually, I know theres concern about emissions for racing as a whole, but it legitimately isnt much of a contributor. The engines are deliberately designed to be as efficient as a racing engine can be, not having to lose a minute on a pit stop to refuel is huge. And all transport is ground based. Compare that to 30 different chartered flights every 3 or 4 days for the MLB...we really dont have room to talk lol. The ONLY reason NASCAR makes me uncomfortable is that its a bunch of white southerners being...white southerners. But thats not anything to do with the actual SPORT, it just happens to be more popular where it was invented, in the south.
