well, Gundam doesn't exactly have evil factions (minus the OG making Zeon completely parallels to nazis) as the core idea of the show is that there aren't good guys or bad guys, just guys doing what they have to do Also, if you want to understand the politics in the UC timeline to get the context, you can find video analysis that makes it more digestible for the viewer

@@Medbread The same can somewhat be applied in Gundam 00. In the first season there weren't clear bad guys until the true villian, the warmonger Sachez and the triplets were revealed. There were only 3 nations that were pretty much competing to see who's the strongest through resource and land acquisition in armed conflicts, which caused pain and suffering to those who got into the crossfire. Season 2 is where we get 2 clear bad guys: the organization A-Law who are 00's version of the Titans only they hid their corruption and horrible acts, and the Innovades lead by Ribbons who seeked to hijack Aelola's plan to become the Messiah of humanity

Zoids and Megas XLR are two of my favorite giant robot series from my childhood. Zoids was basically the strange lovechild of Voltron and Pokemon, with sentient giant robot animals teaming with humans to compete in team death-matches. Then you have Megas XLR, probably the greatest American satire of the Mech Anime genre of all time full of sight gags and references to other series that is even funnier today than it was when I was a kid.

(TL;DR) I am personally more team kiaju, but I respect giant robots. They gave me this idea for a game I call "Shaft Squad" a game all about 4 players controlling and customizing a single giant robot fighter to fight other squads. One player controls the legs, thus, where the robot moves and how it gets there (jet boots, legs). Another player controls the arms, customizing each individual one for a battle ready combination. A third player controls the body, who acts as a support role, healing the robot or providing buffs. A final player controls the head, which acts as a tactical piece, with abilities that can turn it into a weak turret make the head break off and become a drone, to name a few ideas.

That's actually the HG Gundam Epyon and they seem to be actually easy to build as since they were made many years ago the weren't able to create tiny pieces for better detail and color separation

I whole heartedly agree that giant robots are awesome. Transformers and Power Rangers were gateways into my love for mecha and giant robots. I still love Transformers to this day, and have gained an interest in Mobile Suit Gundam, having watched Iron Blooded Orphans and Seed. I even love that you showed a clip from Sym-Biotic Titan, which I watched some of as a kid. I don't think I will ever not love giant robots. Still waiting to be able to get the Real Grade Unicorn Gundam. XD
