That is a rumour but the only source is the account itself, so it could've easily just been some clever pr marketing to get Gen Z interested in the franchise in an ironic Morbius kind of way. A similar account popped up a while before it that said it was a fired intern going crazy on the rainbow fish's official account, but that one was way more vulgar and less advertiser friendly (as in, posting stuff that if the Norm account posted it would probably poorly effect Crest Animation's reputation) which probably inspired it

The Rock saying he read Black Adam comics as a kid was in the movies marketing so bloody funny because black Adam had no solo comics until like the mid 2000s, which coincidentally was around the time DC had a Black Adam movie in development, he also said that he liked that there was a character that looked like him even though OG comic Black Adam looked literally nothing like him

I’d add Kangaroo Jack’s marketing to this list. The marketing just outright lies to their audience about what the movie’s even about, and it takes some SERIOUS guts to stick to it.
@loftipixelsprolapsedpp22044 ай бұрын
Thank you! As one of those children who was bamboozled into watching the movie, you are absolutely positively correct. Not to mention K.J. directly mocks its audience towards the very end of the movie!
@masterseal04184 ай бұрын
I know. It's because the film was originally an R-rated hood film called Down and Under, especially when you realize certain scenes' inappropriate nature would've fit it's original state. However, test audiences loved the kangaroo, who only appeared in the 'chicken blood' scene, so Jerry Bruckenheimer Studios relied solely on the kangaroo in the advertising, furthermore lying to their target demographic of children. Snow Dogs did something similar three years earlier(with one dream sequence about talking huskies), and I'll admit the Second Sonic Movie's diss towards Snow Dogs is quite accurate, especially since talking animal family movies were insanely popular back then in the Y2K decade.
