ASUS just makes overengineered overpriced flashy products meant to appease rich normies that just don't know any better. The keyboard might seem okay but $200 for a plastic keyboard with some whacky niche features is a very steep ask considering the competition. Especially when their software sucks
@Rocket33rАй бұрын
Just to play devil's advocate, whilst I would rank their software as one of the worst, I think they are trying to improve it. Regarding overpriced products made for targeting rich normies, well they do have some reasonable products that are competitive and compared to like a $300 t-shirt, a $200 high performance carbon fibre mouse does represent some value in this market. People buy into brands and I don't necessarily see an issue with that, I don't think they are being exploited. It's also pricey to cultivate a brand image like ASUS has.

@Rocket33r Ok ASUS post on your official account next time!
@hyperone1356Ай бұрын
@@TheRealAstro_brother that isn’t how to respond to someone giving genuine points. I agree, the mouse is overpriced, it makes a finalmouse seem cheap. The keyboard is priced pretty well if you consider its competition is wooting. Wooting is 190 dollars and this is 200 for better tech. Also wooting is also full abs plastic and inherently sounds a lot worse.

@TheRealAstro_Ай бұрын
@@hyperone1356 I apologize for making a joke. I think the best thing ASUS ever released was actually released by Ikea (the Ikea mouse pad). I am not a big fan of the quality of Wooting's keyboards either (stock) but you can at least mod them to sound pretty decent, whereas ASUS has opted to make this thing literal hell on earth to mod for some reason. That or just spend like 10 bucks more and buy a Q1 HE and have an infinitely better build quality keyboard with better software also. I thought it was funny that the guy said people buy into brands and that he thinks that's not wrong to do. I heavily disagree with him as I think being brand loyal is horrible and anti consumer. You should buy the thing you want and that best fits your needs, for the best price, regardless of which brand is attached to it.

Just bought this keyboard a week ago, it offert a lot, but not in a perfect deal imo, pack a punch but my first complain is theres no way to open the keyboard for modding or repairing without ripping the top-bar it's a sticker like that hide screws underneath that's a big downside for real. i know no need real modding but with thier previous azoth line-up that's a questionable choice from asus this time. not sure if i will keep this keyboard or not. its an allright deal for games, springs in switches are really stiff and they use raesha v1 switches models so there's not a lot of options for after-market switches, the touch-strip is nice but at the back idk its a half-good choice, appreciate the hot-swap usb-c for 2 devices otherwise pretty expensive thing. better alternatives for cheaper-price or same range.

A bunch of nothing burger complaints. None of us need these keyboards or mice to perform well. It's ok to have high quality stuff for people who like to spend on their setups. There's so much nonsense in gamer rgb since its inception. I doubt .01% of the gaming base has broken an he keyboard and has the ability to fix it on their own. Sealing it likely prevents liquid ever getting to the electronics which would be the most common issue we would have with a keyboard malfunction. Lets not just complain to complain please Love your stuff either way lmao gg

Using the average consumer not taking advantage of repairability doesn't excuse companies to not make their products repairable
@BobbyDigMOBАй бұрын
@@TheRealAstro_ Making it difficult to repair doesn't mean you cant repair it. If ease of repairability and modability was a major concern you should buy something that aligns with what you want. A majority of people do not want to or care to repair their own things, so building a high quality product and trading off repairability for reliability is a sound business decision.
@TheRealAstro_Ай бұрын
@@BobbyDigMOB you can make a high quality product that is also decently repairable. I know companies like Apple want you to believe otherwise but that is propaganda.
