When I hear this or other John Barry's music, I think of the laborious hours and hours of meticulous labor, learning, studying, practicing, YEARS of it from childhood to be able to manifest the gifts destiny bestowed upon him as a person and the will to make them manifest- hard labor, grueling until you break the ceiling and make it seem easy to the outsider. Those generations producing him and so many others . We honor their herculean efforts and are rewarded with their immortal legacies to US. Saying thank you for the memories really isn't enough. I hope that such spirits will return to earth when this chaos is over.

I love lighthearted, camp Charles Gray Blofeld. His smug grin getting duplicated a hundred times over by henchmen clones was absolutely hilarious! Played off of Connery really well too. Could still be a menacing Blofeld, AND be over-the-top. Something the Craig films are lacking - tongue in cheek. Virtually all of the Bond films up until Casino Royale knew to, as Richard Donner said when making Superman: The Movie, "respect the source material, but don't take yourselves too seriously." Adaptations need to check themselves. The modern Bond films are just too sure of themselves - almost to the point where the realism & grit & edgyness becomes camp itself! I prefer when the Bond series could have the world-threatening spectacle, gorgeous girls, fantastic scores (Craig era's only shining light), AND great humor to balance with the darker aspects (killing, rape survivors, etc.) and large action scenes. The new films, like the Bourne films they're copying, are just too depressing and dark. They're lacking the imagination, scope, and moody/style of the classic era!

This is just brilliant ...I cant stop listening to it! When the original version of this is played during the film, that's one of the best bits in the film too! (John Barry would be proud of this version!)

Yes, you are correct. Jill St. John, whose real name is Jill Arlyn Oppenheim, is an American actress and has also been a licensed pilot. She was born on August 19, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. Jill St. John is best known for her acting career, particularly for her role as Tiffany Case in the 1971 James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever." While she is primarily recognized for her work in the entertainment industry, Jill St. John has also pursued her interest in aviation. She obtained her pilot's license and has been known to fly small aircraft. However, it's important to note that her piloting activities may not be as widely known or as significant a part of her public persona as her acting career.
