My Diamond Painting Tray Collection - 4 Years Worth of a Stash!

I have 23 trays. 19 of them are Archer Arts. I can't use any other trays. I need the tall sides and substantial feel of the tray. I can shake the drills and they don't fall out. I can steady my hand on the side of the tray. Plus, I don't like coordinating the tray with the color palette of the painting. I need a contrasting color so I can see the drills better. That is the real reason I have so many different colors. Plus, all crafters tend to collect something craft related.

Yes those are my trays ❤ I miss making them. I haven’t been able to get back into it. I do make handmade coverminders when I can now. Beautiful munimade collection! Just a tad jealous! I love that dark purple pink ombré sparkly tray!

I wish I had the room for all those trays... I have no storage options because I live in a mobile home. I'm having to really be picky on how many kits and what size kits I buy so I had to turn off and or mute notifications for any drops from any company because I have no will power. I hate that fomo feeling i get every time a special thing comes out and then I miss out because Im like where would a store it without being called a hoarder by my family. (And they don't mean it as a joke either, my hobbies have gotten me close to getting kicked out at times). But I can enjoy it through videos like this and dream i guess lol This is not meant to make anyone feel bad. I'm just venting because I don't have the room to fully enjoy the hobby.

I only have 2 upgraded trays. The Bijou Bliss Drills and Chills 2023 one and a Munimade tray I got with a premium kit. I love them both, but tend to go for the Bijou Bliss one because I don’t always need a huge Munimade one. There are just so many options, I always get overwhelmed trying to figure out what to try next. This has helped! Your collection is great and I hope you don’t get any flack for this video. People who make people feel bad for things they love are just big poopy heads. 🤪

I have two good trays. My Firefly is my favorite. It’s an Inferno in the mermaid color. I love it! I hope to order a Switch+ in a lighter color, probably a light blue shade, sometime. I would be interested in any stash video, but I would most like a wax/putty video next.

Oh wow look at all those trays!! Bijou Bliss are my favorite right now. I use the stoppers on trays and their magnetic ones are perfect. I also don’t like a massive tray so the size of Bijou Bliss are perfect for me 😊❤ I love all the variety you have and how looking at them takes us along your years of diamond painting ☺️💎

Bijou Bliss are in my top five favorite trays. I’m in love with their new Itty Bitty size. I figured out that I prefer to kit up into trays. I used to think I only needed one tray but that went out the window. Now my collection is Bijou Bliss, Creations by Ellie P, Lightening Prints 3D, Cat Proof, and Nyx’s Notions. I’m a lidded trays only person and mostly very small trays. I also prefer to buy from people who fill orders on demand rather than drops. I’ve probably reordered from Bijou Bliss the most. Christina gets me with her special trays.

Your trays are gorgeous. I have some Munimade trays myself. I agree they are pretty amazing. I have some Shazza trays and a few Bella Art trays. It's terrible that you feel compelled to justify your Munimade tray collection. Just remember people LOVE to project their jealousy on to others. Hold your head high and be proud of that collection. Haters are always gonna hate regardless... ignore them. ❤

The raised edge on the Yellow Dog Designs trays are my absolute favorite. I always have trouble getting my drills lined up and it makes it soo easy. Thank you so much for all the awesome suggestions!!

Just did an order from ellie p. I think 4 or 5 things. Also for next stache definitely the waxs and puttys as those different companies have more variance in usability based on how people dp.

I wish there were good places to get some of these things in Aus. One of the large trays, from one of the companies here costs nearly 75 dollars to ship. A tray. =( So, constantly bummed that I have to miss out on all of the awesome trays/pens out there because I just cannot swing the cost for shipping.

What I find important to me in trays is that the drills slide out easily without getting stuck in the lanes. I tap the tray while tilting it to get the drills out the spout to empty back into the containers. It’s annoying to have to manually remove the drills that get stuck. Maybe it’s impossible to get a tray that lets the drills slide out smoothly without getting stuck. Have you come across one?

Love all the colorful trays. I’ve been diamond painting a little over 2 years and till recently had been using the small trays that come in the kits! But I did get my hands on a large sparkly purple munimade tray and I love it! One day I hope to get a small size one too.

Love seeing your trays makes me feel better when I buy one or two. I am surprised you didn’t show any from Nyx’s notions I love the colors. They have some called cotton candy and they are great. You should try them. I never get the kids if it’s an option don’t really store diamonds in them.

Sliding stoppers, like from Firefly Designs, are the only ones I can use now. So much easier and faster to open and close. And since I can't leave spouts open, I always lose drills that way, it's really the most convenient feature for me.

Cat Proof was the first I ordered from and they and Munimade make up most of my collection. 🥰 I have a couple Firefly trays and they've always been worth the wait to get the custom order. I have Cat Proof, Firefly, Yellow Dog, NYX and Munimade trays. My favorites are the Firefly trays! I find their design far exceeds any other tray, the lines are the best spaced of any of the trays and they are sturdier than any of the others. So glad I found them.

Trays are the one thing I havent upgraded yet, although not for a lack of wanting - just my budget 😅 It feels tough looking out for trays without a ludicrous shipping as an EU crafter, but I will also admit that seeing Firefly trays in videos like these have set my standars high!

I loved seeing all the trays. I have one from Munimade that I got with a diamond painting and I have one from Cat Proof. I love them both. I dont see why you would be getting any flack for the trays you have. It doesnt seem excessive for the amount of time that you have been collecting them. And even if it was 3 times as many....its perfectly fine for you to have as many as you want! Keep collecting!!!

Trays and putty are the only things I’m into right now accessories wise but I do like stash videos. So far cat proof are my favorite. My klutzy self loves the high walls and internal spouts while my lazy self loves not having stoppers to use/lose. I do really want to try yellow dog trays and will at some point and when I order my first mini made I’ll get an upgraded tool kit to try those trays,

Interesting. How did you like that square single drill placing tray? I still can’t seem to nail down multi-placing and so, for now, I completely single place everything. Honestly it doesn’t bother me too much because I diamond paint for the mental therapeutic benefits therefore it’s not a “race to the finish” for me. Plus, being disabled and on a fixed income, kits aren’t always in my budget (and I refuse to use that Temu app). Cheers Paul 🌴☀️🌴

Single placing is so therapeutic and you’re totally right, it’s not a race. Whatever lets you enjoy the craft the most, do that! ☺️ To be honest, the single-placing drill tray isn’t for me. I wish the lines were a little bit more even. I do think that they’ve made some tweaks and improvements since I bought mine, but since I mostly use my multiplacer, that tray isn’t a practical one for me personally.

Wow! So I’m going to suggest a sorta related question- how about storage video? I know you’ve mentioned limited space (I am right there with you) but you have such an incredible stash. Also, or related, how do you store the wips when you use a shared space? Ie- common family areas.

Thanks for the suggestion! 💛 I’m not sure I’d be ready to do a video on this anytime soon, since honestly my storage solutions are NOT elegant or ideal, IMO 😂 As far as where I put my WIPs, I typically roll them and tuck them under my little desk which is tucked in between our living room and kitchen areas. Sometimes I’ll even put them on top of my kitchen cabinets, haha! Like I said, not very elegant.

I’m a total newbie, I just ordered my first (non kit tray) from yellow dog designs yesterday (one with the pour top) as I am based in Canada ❤I might try and get a minumade tray at some point. The one question I have about the yellow dog designs tray is how are the sides in comparison to kit trays?

The sides are taller and much sturdier than the basic trays that come with diamond painting kits. I think you’ll be really happy with the difference!

Hi there! I’d probably recommend something with higher sides/walls, so there’s less a chance of drills shaking out. Archer’s Arts or Yellow Dog Designs would probably fit inside the PaintGem box, even! Firefly has really nice options with lids, and could be a nice option too!

I remember when I tried out my first Munimade tray (after trying a variety of other shops) for the first time, I was so happy with how nicely and easily the drills lined up for me, the size, and the overall quality and features. They just tick all the boxes of what I look for in trays! ☺️
