Hello friends!
I'm so excited to be here today to share my diamond painting stash of kits featuring my favorite creature: DRAGONS! 2024 is the perfect year to celebrate all things dragons, and I thought I'd kick off my year by going through my stash and pulling out all of my dragon kits. Hopefully this will help me decide which I want to work on this year!

I Love Herb Leonard's stuff- I have dragon hill and dragon chess and am waiting for butterfly dragon. But it was super cool to see your kits! I am definitely going to work on a few Spanglers this year as well.

Also - February 10 is the Chinese New Year, ushering in the Year of the Dragon. I dearly hope DAC will release at least one that day!!🤞😍🐉

I'd love to see you do "I Am" - I've wanted that one since 2020 but I've never had the cash at the same time it was in stock. I've got 5 dragons in my stash and hope to do two of them this year, Dragon Attack by Jan Patrik Krasny and one of my Spangler kits. Given that I only do 6-8 kits per year that will be a huge dragon emphasis on my time.

I think I have a couple of these but my favorite is Siblings. I grabbed that one so fast when it came out. I want to work on it. I already did the one called Fiona Butterfly Dragon when I saw you do a post review on that kit as well. Im savoring siblings like you are. I would love to see you work on that one. I would work on it with you. I used to love dragons when I was little but I think that was because of the animated and people version of the movie Pete's Dragon. I absolutely loved loved loved that movie.

I'm excited to see each month which dragon kit you chose! The original size Lil DragonZ was my very first DAC kit that I ever worked on. (Lol my gateway) I have the mystery kit by Anne Stokes in my stash, I might do that one this year, I'm just not sure how I feel about that big of a project this year.....we will see. 🐉

I haven't gotten one done for January but I do have all of those small Amazon Spanglers so maybe I can get one of those done before the month is over. Funny thing, my ONLY 'unicorn' ever was Reading Time, I actually saw the post you got it from BUT prior to that, I could not find it anywhere, then I decided to get it as a cross stitch conversion, so that will be my first cross stitch conversion, hopefully I can get that one in sometime this year. I will be joining you on your year long dragons, can't wait to see which ones you choose! Have a great weekend!

That strawberry fairy is so dang cute! You have so many good ones. I'm considering several, including rainbow dragon hugging cat, mushroom dragon, space dragon, and tea dragon, but not sure if i'll get to the big ones. For the craft buddy, triple check that the staples on the back of the pre-framed canvas are really pushed in or put something between the canvas and the table--I didn't check well enough and it scratched up my nice table... still bitter about that!

So many good choices I am currently working Drogon Dracarys and its a big on 124cmx70cm. I would like to see the Dragons and Beasties that one seems like its going to be a lot of fun.

I’m late to the dragon party, I’m not normally a dragon person (Tigers, lions etc. ) but hearing you describe the dragons I have been watching The First Dragon, I am and the light weaver cause when my younger two were little I used to “watch” rescue riders with them all the time ❤️❤️

The first kit you showed, might actually be a Western/Asian dragon. Those dragons are more snake like with horns and long whiskers (sometimes they have short front arms). The type of dragons that most are familiar with, are the European dragons. There is some debate as to whether Asian Dragons, should be called dragons or not (this is from a KZbin video featuring people from South East Asia or SEA, which they say that the only true dragons are the European kind)

I am also challenging myself to do 1 painting a month. I have a huge stash of about 200 paintings and am not letting myself buy any more until my stash is smaller. Unless Kiki under the stairs or catch me become available at DAC! Haha

I totally recommend working on the leviathan if you’re in the mood. I’m currently working on it now and it is breathtaking. The colors are beautiful! It will hang in my 9 yr old son’s room when done.

Hi Katie , great collection and a goal for your 2024. I am working on Afternoon Tea right now. Half way done. One of my main goals is working on my older, original kits in my stash for this year. I have passed so many for all the newer kits coming out😍😍. You did Dragon Cliff by Herb Leonard and loved the results. So I plan to work on that this year. I always do at least 6 months of dragons. They are my joy. I do a lot of what you call the Epic dragons. Anne Stokes and ravynne phalen are my all time favs. Have also done a couple of Amy Brown. All of mine are DAC. You should do the love Dragons by Amy Brown. I have that hanging most of the year and everyone loves it.

Oh I was so happy to see this video! My favorite I’d like to see is Love Dragons. I have it but haven’t started it myself. Also a bit of advice with the mystery Anne Stokes kit. Have someone cover it for you with release papers because you can’t not see what it is so won’t be surprised otherwise

Maybe rotate your choices from oldest to newest? If it were me, I would avoid the giant Spanglers for a one month deadline. I would be overwhelmed. Two months maybe? Ha,ha I just finished Universe in a Jar. Loved every minute of it! 🫙🐉🔭🪐📚

I’d also like to see you attempt to make a little dragon army with Ember the sky dragon. If the background showing through is a problem I’d probably start with a color that’s complementary so that would be green but an orange or blue could look nice as well. 🐉

Hi Katie great video dedicated to all things dragons.🐉 I think this is such a wonderful idea you decided to do and its awesome that anyone can join in if they want to. I made a personal goal for myself to and I want to work on it for the remainder of my diamond painting life. It is to buy 1 kit from every artist Diamond Art Club is licensed with. I love the company and how they render all their artwork to almost look like the original artists works. I tried to count how many they have right now and may have close to 197 give or take right now. I think its so fun making goals for yourself to complete and not caring how long it takes to do them.
