The story of this song, as I understand it, is based on an old Russian Folk Tale. 'Rechenka' means River. It tells of a young woman who goes to the River to ask the spirits there to carry her message 'to the other side'. To her mother who has passed away. She is planning to marry and is seeking her mothers blessing for this. A truly amazing performance by an incredible Artist who was only 14/15 years old here? Diana is now 19 and is still concentrating on her musical studies. She has yet to launch her career properly, but when she does, judging by the profile she has already built - her progress will rocket. She is already acknowledged as a unique mega-star in the making. 😍🤩

About the song "Rechenka" (diminutive of "River"), an old ritual song about an orphan bride. The girl has no parents, and there is no one to bless her marriage. There are many guests in the house who came to woo her, but there is neither father nor mother. She goes to the river, sits down and cries and tells about what is happening to her. The river in Ancient Russia was considered the border between the world of the living and the dead. You hear an ominous whisper, it's the spirit of her late mother responding to her words.
