I believe Diane pulled the same trick on Sam at least twice in the series. The other one I can remember is about a weight machine that gives out fortune cards. Poor Sam. You can never outsmart her.

It's funny and all, but it's also relatable. One brief moment of honesty, and the folks around you taunt you for it. It's sad.

Sam and Diane should have gotten married, seasons later Sam wants to be a father and have a baby with Rebecca, he should have married Diane and had a baby with her at the end of season 5, Diane could still leave the show and do guest appearances with their baby.
