Thank you for showing us this technique. It’s just beautiful. I showed my 8 year old grandson how to trace a drawing onto my painting pad, and he was blown away. “ how did you do that, without a light box! “ 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I love this technique! And your description of the “teenage” stage of the painting. I always think I should throw it out then. But I plug on and voila! It grows up! Perfect analogy! Thank you for the inspiration!

My 64 th. Every day is a moment of me time watching your videos . Thanks😊 . Although I am a man I bought a copy of Gift from the sea and red a few chapters. Remarkable , it has to sink in but she writes in a very personal way and what she describes 60 years ago nowadays resonates freshly. Have a nice day 😊 Wim.

Love the two paintings. One with a romantic tone, one with a vintage tone. Amazing the variety you get with a change in color palettes. Thanks for another way to approach this technique. I will be getting it my pens and tracing paper tonight and taking a magical adventure of my own.

End results of the two paintings are so different but both are pleasing...as you ssid said delicate and bold. Will try this when I get the right pigments. I get kind of lost as I watch what you paint over versus what you paint around, Takes practice...a simple design to begin with but first the pigments. Christmas list for sure.

I do love your art but I am a bit of a neat freak and I struggle with the imperfection of water colour so when you did that initial layer of paints and there were a few 'specks' of the white paper showing through, I was willing you to put some paint over them, literally shouting at the screen "cover them up" LOL. Obviously in the end it didn't matter and the final piece is just lovely. I need to have a word with myself!!lol.

That's stunning! Love it! The colours positively glow. I tried the previous one that you showed us. It was a complete joy to do. I covered the bright white lines with dark green and gold in that one. Thank you Diane for a lovely new technique. Looking forward to doing some more 😊

Wonderful! IDK why, but the negative painting in white causes me anxiety and excitement simultaneously. I can't wait to try this. I ordered the brush pens and white markers that you use and I've got the big gansey tambi set coming (Prime day) ... all I need now is more time.
@DianeAntoneStudio Жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s definitely a thing! Maybe, Tamsin says, because the natural tendency is NOT to cover things up. Yet you know it will look better if you do!!!
