My goal this year is to actually buy some clothes I will wear! I literally have less than 20 things hanging in my closet and no dress clothes whatsoever. I dislike clothes shopping immensely so it should be quite an adventure! 😆🤞🇨🇦

Funny story: I did this last year on 1 January where I turned all my hangers around. I got to the beginning of November, and my husband thought that he would give me more wardrobe space by moving all of my clothes to a different part of our walk-in robe when I was out of the house, hence, turning all the hangers back around.🤦‍♀️ Never mind it just means I will have to start again this year 😂

I use the reverse hanger trick now. But also if something is a tiny bit too tight, rather than put it away in storage I turn it inside out and hang it back up. When Ive my Christmas few lbs lost I’ll try it on again. 😂

I do ongoing declutter in closet. I don't like backwards hangers method for myself bc it takes more effort to get the hanger out. When I have minimized my closet, the emptiness & lack of options simplified dressing but I like to have more choices. I recently bought a vendor's fleamarket clothes when he was having a yard sale. I also had a neighbor ask me to pick up boxes & bags she had taken out of storage & was keeping stacked in her garage. Over the years I've liked doing this. During the process, I've laundered bedding, clothing, etc. I sort through items, select items for family, friends and myself then disperse the rest to the general community. ❤Well, after doing this recently, I refilled my small closet space (helps keep the cold out too here in this old RV). I am now decluttering or packing seasonal items bc it is frustrating when a closet has 'too much' in it and makes it hard to get items out. I think some of the clothing is 'fantasy' clothing or even memory triggers of 'days gone by'. I 💕 love that you dress up daily 'to the shoes'😊. I'm attempting to dress sooner in the day to get me moving. I like my cozy pajamas & robe and feel kinda slow to get out of them... ODAT, right?

My summer clothes are all stored separately. A friend came over last week and she tried on and took quite a few things from my last declutterring session. Feels good

I am a T4 in DYT and I love how you have pared down your colors. I have done the same with my clothes. I don’t shop much at all, but when I do, knowing my colors makes shopping SO easy - a quick look through and if I don’t see my colors, I’m out the door. Quick and easy (and frugal too)!

Good thinking. I will be moving to another house🏡 this month, but I can start with the hanger-trick there. I am packing lots of boxes right now🙈although the main traffic areas (kitchen, livingroom, bathroom) are still cosy and comfortable for daily live. That is my 'gezellige' 'hygge' 'self-care' haven right now. 🙋🇳🇱

Good Morning! I am turning the stack of sweaters, shirts and trousers upside down. Whenever I grab a item I don`t want to wear it can leave my house. Great for every basic item. Declutter as you go makes things so easy.

Hi Diane ❤, my plan for 2025 is to get my closet under control. I adore clothes but I know that I hang onto some that I shouldnt cos I really dont ever wear them. I challenge myself to declutter 365 pieces of clothing this year, I know it will make things easier. My 3 colours are black, teal & burgundy 😊. I have others too but it's helping me to declutter. Over the Xmas hols I cut up 3 items into rags. I even tried wearing them as pyjamas before, but even that didn't work 😅 Feeling good as I'm now using the rags to clean using the FL system! Rah rah rah ! Hi, Diane, hope, we'll have a fun year together, everything seems easier, if you do it 'together' with somebody who understands. I noticed, that my difficulties are changing. My morning routine is good, I know the meal, cleaning after is no question, my evening routine could be better, but out of a sudden, PUPA with my clothes seems to be a problem. You have done a great job paring down your colours as a T4 and maybe a secondary T2 I am struggling to pare down mine. I tend to gravitate to black, whenever I wear it I always feel "put together ". Aside from black I have difficulty finding the correct shade in the T4 colours as the selection in the shops is limited. The colour of the year this year is Mocha Mousse which is a colour I could never wear.

Happy new year. I have Decluttered my second bedroom and I found it. It is so unreal. The stuff that I had just thrown in there you couldn’t even walk across the room. It was so packed but now you can see the floor you can walk from side to side up and back in and out. But I still have more to give away to someone else to enjoy because I’ve used all I can use out of it. This is a no buy year for me 2025.
