I seem to remember reading that Chris Cornell wanted an apocalypse video, appropriate for the lyrics, but he really wanted a HAPPY apocalypse! So they used early 90's CG effects - which were just becoming a thing - to create the exaggerated creepy happy faces.

Having lived in Seattle for more than 40 yrs now, I hang my head in shame that I never saw any of the big Seattle bands when they were up and comers. I only saw Soundgarden perform 3 songs before an American football game. Another Seattle biggie was Alice in Chains...I saw them play 3 songs at halftime of a football game. I was fortunate enough to see Chris do a full set about 6 months before he passed. I saw him perform with Temple of the Dog. RIP, Chris. No one sings like you anymore. ❤❤

Soundgarden was a long-time Seattle hard rock band that became known for pioneering “Alternative/Grunge” music along with Pearl Jam and Nirvana, although most of them would consider themselves just to be hard rock bands. Their lead guitarist and drummer recently recorded an album with the bassist from Nirvana and several different singers called “3rd Secret.” Chris later formed Audioslave with the musicians from Rage Against the Machine. He also sang the song “You know My Name” for the James Bond movie “Casino Royale.”

Did You know? Soundgardens song superunknown was used as a soundtrack on the Video Game Road Rash the CD version on PC(personal computer), Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Sony Playstation, Panasonic/Goldstar 3DO, Amiga. Also a Music Video that jams on that Video Game Soundtrack Paw - Jessie. The Music videos are in the Video Game Options too.

@@DianeJennings Your Welcome, Diane! It's a really popular motorcycle racing game. I have all the game systems I have collected over the years except a amiga. You can play it on the computer, games consoles, or emulate it on phone/tablet/laptop.

You agree that people should do heroin and rack up a ton of debt if they’re depressed? Heh. Stupidest thing I’ve heard in a long time.

Very much like Soundgarden. I liked this song, but much prefer two of their others, Spoonman, and Burden in My Hand. They're 90s "grunge", though I much prefer calling them just rock'n'rollers. 😊
