Very much blessed by Elinor's story. When I was 13 years old my parents were on staff at Prairie Bible Institute. We lived just beside the A-dorm. As we walked to church we would often see Elinor, with her crutches, heroically throwing her legs forward. In '69 my parents left PBI to go to the Netherlands where my father is still active as an evangelist, now 94. Later on my (nurse) wife and I served at a mission school in Ghana for 10 years., and we can well relate to the love she felt for the people.

Lord brought me to brother Paul in 2020 after He called me out from a Bible liar building in Singapore. Since then, until this moment, 5 years of sitting under brother Paul bold, faithful and truthful preaching and teaching of Lord and His Words and hearing and seeing his heart cry for more workers for the Gospel fields, my heart was and has been fired up for Lord and wanted to live for Lord and work for His Cause! I asked God for strength that I might achieve, I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health that I might do great things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for-but everything that I had hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most richly blessed. This was my dad's favorite poem. He had polio too when I was 4 yrs old and was in a wheelchair the rest of his life til he died at aged 89. He was in the iron lung, but God brought him out to give hope & courage to many. I know he suffered alot but rarely mentioned it. He went to work, completed his medical school he was doing at the time, but they did not want him to continue. Graduated and did his residency in NYC at Rusk institute. Look magazine (March 22, 1955) did an article on him during the polio epidemic. Dr. Glenn G. Reynolds, P.M.&R. He was an inspiration to me, his attitude was upbeat and cheerful. Your testimony is also a great inspiration. Thank you.

Hello, Yesica -- Thank you so much for commenting and introducing yourself. You are nearly 50, you said. That tells me you have a LOT of good years left to help advance God's kingdom. It doesn't have to be traditional or big. I do a lot from my bed through my laptop. Things others never see except the people it is meant for. Sometimes just one person. Make an impact for God in one person's life and who knows what may happen?! It could spread around the world. Write down what you most like to do and ask God to show you how to use it. He'll do that. You have a long, happy future ahead.

NEVER too late....my grandmother is missionary powered by the Holy Spirit and she is making a huge impact! She started in her 50s....(: her name is Maria Dusciuc, her testimony is actually on youtube here but it's in Romanian!

*I find it so inspiring (well, her whole story obviously!!) but I really find it inspiring that only after they gave up their daughter 100% to Him did her health improve :) and also, I loved how they didn't ever say she couldn't do something. I love this story, thank you so much for uploading! God bless you, and the Young family :)*

Praise the Lord for the work he has done through Elinor. Lord do your work in me, and through me, and please accomplish “your will” for my life, help me walk it out.

Thank you, Donna. Yes, we can't see around the corners of hard times - or good ones, either - but we always know God has a plan that He'll show us one day and we will be awed. - Elinor

Wow, thank you Missionary Elinor... In accepting the Lord's call into missionary work, one of the things we must always do is not giving attention to the physical challenges we may have found ourselves into. Not to as well give ear to those around us, who might have not seen what we might have seen and heard. "WHO THE LORD CALLS HE WILL USE"
@ElinorYoung3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are always people who will give us their reasons why we can't or shouldn't do what we know God has called us to do. But only He knows best!
