Since the Episode 115 preview trailer confirms that Diantha will use Mega Gardevoir, Aurorus, and Gourgeist in her battle against Lance, I have a really good feeling that her anime team would be the same as her in-game team. The other options that you chose sound like good reserve Pokemon for her team.

I can't see Diantha with a Hisuian pokemon. I don't see any connections for her. Cynthia, on the other hand, is from modern Hisui (Sinnoh) and is an expert on myths/ archaeology. So if anyone has an ancient form of something, it would be Cynthia. But I do agree that it would be cool and interesting to see a Hisuian anything- goodra, arcanine, lilligant...

One, she's main job is an actress who generally has their schedules fully occupied by shows and movies or so. Thus it's reasonable to think that she didn't have sufficient time to do battle training. Two, she's the champion of Kalos region who uses fairy type. We all knew Kalos is a new region and fairy is a new type that was introduced together. And the company ALWAYS intentionally makes these characters stronger like Leon did recently, although their actual strength is doubtful.

Diantha deserves no respect as a champion, she sucks. Her team sucks and her development as a character was severely lacking honestly. Easily the worst champion tbh Edit: IF she beats Lance then it's solely because the writers want to not have another Lance Vs Leon fight and that they understand that Diantha's presence sucks and are attempting to give her more feats to bring her otherwise weak resume up to speed with the other champions.

I think that Diantha team would be 1, Mega Gardevoir 2, Amourus 3, Goregiest since it was Recently revealed for her battle with Lance 4, Hawlucha 5, Milotic since it would fit her well 6, Goodra rotation Pokemon Togekiss Tyrantrum Galarian Darmantan Zen mode Mawile and wild cat either Megaera or Diancie.

The preview for the upcoming episode shown a Gorgiest in the battlefield. More than likely belonging to Diantha. Which pretty much confirms her team from the XY games. Sucks that we won't see the entire six Pokémons for almost all the champions besides Ash & Leon.

Her team actually has a balance besides the fossils, but compared to who she’s up against she has a substantial advantage.

Team comp doesnt matter just the plot of the fight. She could have the best possible team against lance but remember ash's pikachu beat an electivire with an electric z move. More proof? Leons charizard took a crit stone edge and nothing happened. The winner depends of the writers as simple as that. tbf i hope he uses his manga dragonite. Supposely he has many but one of them is literally too strong battle so he only uses him for exploration
