I’m all about the freezer food bargains! One great bargain - Richmond sausages, if you buy them fresh they are much more expensive. But you can get a bag of Richmond sausages frozen for much cheaper!

I tend to be really good in December when it comes to spending, I think when you work in a shop especially during December, you just don’t want to go into shops! The boots scheme, it says they have to be cleaned out but they don’t really, you get the voucher as soon as the items are put in the bin in the shop.

Regarding your tiredness, could it be your B-12 or Vitamin D levels or both? I’ve been feeling so tired over the past year and it turns out both of those levels were dangerously low. I got a B-12 shot and now take liquid B-12 and liquid Vitamin D each day and I finally feel human again. Might be worth checking out if you haven’t before.

Could be anything 😂 I’m always tired but this week is really knocked me out. I’ve been eating/drinking less sugar and trying to balance my energy with actual food so.. it’s probably that I’m not good at it 😂

the new rules come in on 13th NI is because of Brexit when we left so there did not have to be an actual border on the Island of Ireland it was agreed EU laws would apply to NI. ITS A pain for sellers who sell on sites like Etsy or eBay as usually if you sell to UK it includes NI you can not separate them.

Oh that’s really interesting! So because we’re an actual island, we were able to cut ourselves off but had NI been lumped in with the UK for trade, there would have been a border wall?

Under the Northern Ireland agreement, there can't be a hard border between NI and Ireland. We have the Windsor framework which means that goods entering into Northern Ireland have to be compliant with EU rules. If goods are going into NI only and not any further, then they can benefit from a certain 'lane' and need to only be compliant with GB rules. But that tends to be for things like food Vs candles.

Boots definitely don’t expect you to clean out makeup products, that seems a bit excessive. I just remove what I can and they’re always accepted on the app, hopefully recycle:me is the same. I think I’ll use both schemes as R:Me accepts items that Boots doesn’t and vice versa.

Did you know that you can do the recycling at boots? You can get 500 points with a £10 spend for 5 items. Also, you’re overthinking the cleaning bit, if you’ve sent photos and they’re accepted, you can send them as is ❤

You think? Also the boots scheme is a pain for me cause you can only do 5 items at once and you have to spend the points quickly. From what I gather, the recycle:me will be stackable and don’t expire immediately

You don’t have to spend the points quickly…. Just buy something for at least £10 as soon as you drop off the 5 recyclables. I wait till I need something from boots and then recycle some things at same time. Easy £5 of points for things I was buying anyway I’ve earned a tons of points

I know I feel the same Martina 😢 it’s been basically 5 years since Brexit and this new legislation has wrecked everything. I don’t blame small businesses it’s way too much for them. We should be in the best position half in the UK and half in EU but we are just shafted. Suddenly all the protocol protests make sense.
