after all of his losses before winning the belt, you would think Charles could’ve been more humble going into the Islam fight, while even telling the NELK boys that he would finish makachev in the first round… don’t know what happened, I just hope do bronx still has it in him for another go at the championship someday!

Nates best performance of his career imo Cerrone was getting peiced up and still landed some hard leg kicks , he exposed Nates biggest weakness in his game
@I_am_Dad_Son2 жыл бұрын
Definitely one of his more memorable moments. I think Nate vs Johnson was his best performance. People forget how dangerous Michael Johnson was. He had elite level hands and Nate tooled him the entire fight standing.

This one takes me back to early high school, I remember I had started just getting into MMA hardcore, and I was rooting hard for Cowboy cause I thought Nate was being a punk in the pre fight. Sitting here in 2022, I’m probably one of the biggest Diaz bros supporters and will root for them against pretty much anyone. Those we’re fun times tho.
@FearOfGod4442 жыл бұрын
Yeah this one was nostalgic for me as well. Donald got kicked in the head by a horse the week of this fight and his entire team implored him to pull out because of this. I can't help but feel like he wasn't his best self for this one.
@reyess.ortegaa2 жыл бұрын
@@FearOfGod444 while getting kicked in the head by a horse has to f*cking suck, let’s be real, this would’ve played out the same even if Cowboy never got kicked by that horse. Stylistically it was just a perfect matchup for Nate considering the way cowboy usually stands toe to toe.

Nates my favorite of all time , but my dude was mad inconsistent and didn't seem to want to evolve as a martial artist , and than he lacked motivation after he got his big paydays from the Conor fights , now it's just sad watching Nate fight anymore he's taken so much damage and is sooooo slow with his striking in his past 3 fights Being a Nate Diaz fan was extremely frustrating 🤣 but he's been my favorite since the Guillard fight and always put on a good show

@@drunkenmmamaster419 I think he did all he can really he know a lot of grappling and boxing techniques but never really had the athleticism or strength to be dominant with wrestling and kickboxing. He’s famous for his style and personality, that’s why he takes the toughest fights and usually only has cardio and bjj as his advantages.

@@Ty-oe4dr I wouldn’t say lost the spark I would say accepted he’s not as fast and strong as these guys but he has experience and really does have high fight iq and knowledge which keeps him from being finished(mostly). @@drunkenmmamaster419 Trust me Asonunique209, there *is* more to the story. Maybe one day it'll come out in an actual movie for the Diaz brothers. I somewhat doubt it though. It'd take someone in his inner circle or maybe Nathan or Nick to explain, I kind of doubt it though. No one in their inner circle is going to talk without their permission. I wished, once Nathan and Nick are done fighting, for good, that they'd trust someone *really* close to them, to put up a great documentary. If it would go that far though, I believe Hollywood would try an cash in. Just my take.

Nate didn’t want to like anyone that he was gonna fight. He didn’t wanna talk, shake your hand, or get to know you at all. He wanted to NOT like you and have no problem fuckin you up. That’s the Diaz mentality. “This guy is gonna try to hurt me, we are not friends.” He almost always shook hands and showed respect when the fight was over. Now it’s settled and neither of us are gonna try to fuck the other one up. I understand Nate just fine, he fought the way that he knew how to fight.
