What's so cute about this is that Falco remembered and recalled this interview in an later German interview. He remembered it word by word, also how Dick Clark then said "you're philosopher!" and it brought him big joy and he loved looking back to it. I noticed he quite often remembered interviews and such, which proves that he never took anything of all that for granted. He was a great guy, sadly often misunderstood in Germany, and he's so terribly missed.

Falco was Falco, plain and simple. That's why I liked him so much (and still do). He wasn't trying to be like anyone else out there at the time. He was an original and such a talent. I am American, and German is not my native tongue, even though I've picked up a lot from him. Some of my friends and family use to give me such a hard time for listening to something I didn't understand, and yeah I still don't understand it all. But I still love listening to him, English or German!!
@fuzzmosisr86015 жыл бұрын
Amen, you just don't see that kind of originality with new music anymore.

What I do remember though is taking a class and meeting a very fun and impressive 60-year-old woman in that class who told me she loved the song Der Kommissar by Falco just like I did. Needless to say, it strengthened our friendship, and she became one of my favorite people in the class. 😊

Yes, it's very funny. He had humor, was charming and full of life. He doesn't deserve such a cruel fate. He had to live, that still had many to ofer his fans worldwide. In my country it's a saying: "What is beautiful and good, God loves, too". So that God took him so early, because He liked Falco as much as we all liked.

Naomi It’s because he always talked german with an accent as if he was american. Even his german kinda sounded english to germans. There is german, austrian german, swizerdütsch (swiss german) and there is Falco german so to speak ;)

in austria we speak german. it's like you said just an accent like englands english vs american english.....but it also depends on where in austria you are...there are a lot of regions which have their own accent. but falco was from vienna and the speak a very pure, straight german there :)

@TheHDH83 Amen, sister! Don't get me started on the Justin Bieber thing, I can't really understand it because I didn't like guys who looked that immature even when I was a young teen! Falco's look was very suave and classically handsome. I love the photos from the Junge Römer album, that's the old Hollywood look right there! Add in the fact that he was so talented, and that's my idea of a sexy man. ;)
