Im 34 , been reading comics since i was 10. Personally, i like Dick Grayson as Batman quite a bit more than Bruce Wayne. Mostly, i feel, because of his sense of humor, awesome acrobatics, fighting prowess, and the lack of the 24/7 dark brooding.

Dru-Is-Here then you should give Grant Morrison's Batman and Robin run a shot. it's interesting because it's a basically a more fun, cool batman paired up with a dark,violent and brooding robin(Damien Wayne). and Batman Gates of Gotham by Scott Snyder.

Dru-Is-Here Bruce Wayne has fighting prowess, peak human mental and physical conditioning and a snarky sense of humor too. Imo Dick Grayson as Batman clicks, because we already have had plethora of Bruce Wayne stories. Bruce's dark brooding persona is a given, when you consider the kind of rogues he deals with. If Dick Grayson is made Batman for long time, I am sure his persona would have to be readjusted accordingly. He is much better as Nightwing .

But then, I like Cassandra Cain, and she factors into that one. James Jr. has been around since, and gotten somewhat more interesting. Simone used him a lot in her Batgirl run pretty well, and he palled around with Amanda Waller as an almost-heroic-psychopath a la Hannibal Lecter or Dexter around the time of Forever Evil.

When I started watching Back Issues two years ago, I had four (4) trade paperbacks to my name (and most of the X-Men comics from the 1990s). Those TPBs were Watchmen, X-Men vs. Apocalypse vol. 1 (ugh), God Loves Man Kills, and Black Mirror, which I picked up on a lark, having no idea how well-regarded it was. Two years and dozens of new trades later, I'm really glad ComicPOP finally discussed this piece. Keep up the great work!

I found this book when Snyder was on Kev Smith's podcast ( found out he went to a college down the street from mine) and had to get it right after. I loved this book and one of the few trades i will go back to with some consistancy. The Court was good when Scott did it, and in End Game made a good cameo but everyone else kind of ran them into the ground way to quick, especially robin war and the new nightwing book with the parliment. I think that's why Snyder made them kind of a joke in All Star Batman because they don't feel like how he made them. But Black Mirror is one of the best stories I've read.
