Best survival series on KZbin. Laughed so hard. But seriously sleeping overnight inside the log full of spiders in the middle of fucking Australia... That is pretty badass. Most true survival guys just do batoning of some 2 by 4 on their backyards. So your survival is much cooler. Thanks.

great again Pete! One thing you may like to try with eggs! You mentioned how you like the minimalist approach - one of my favorite ways to cook eggs is to simply cut a 1/2 cm hole out the top of the shell and place them in the hot coals of the fire! They get a lovely flavor and cook evenly with no other pots or containers etc! Just don't put them in too hot or it will boil over and don't forget to make the hole in the top or you'll have scrambled egg everywhere! The dogs will love it, but you less so i'd imagine!!

Since you did part 1 you have more survival experience than 99% of all the content creators and people that hang around these channels. By youtube standards you are a certified expert now! Besides, it takes balls to sleep outdoors in a country where half the biotope is trying to kill you.

Definitely better than the first one. Hey at least you made a fire this time. That could be a big life saver. You had so many resources I could see in the background that you did not use, the reeds, the dried blady grass, crushed up make excellent tinder, which would have been much better than your feathersticks. The old branches you picked up also looked like they had lots of very small twigs. Start with the crushed up blady grass, which will take a spark from your ferro rod easily, then add a bunch of the really small twigs, I mean like less than 1 mm diameter to start, then build up steadily thicker sticks, and in only a few minutes you will be adding thicker sticks. No problem. The dried grass could also have made a pretty comfortable sleeping pad, just make sure you keep a safe enough distance from your fire that you don't set your bed on fire... now THAT would be shit. Overall, better than 1st time. Keep going. We all start off shit and then either give up or keep improving. So keep improving.

Simply fantastic and brilliant! Although the already standing natural shelter was an easier option, you won't already have the creepy crawlers resort in a natural shelter you build yourself for the night. But I'd have chosen the hollow tree too, just glad I got to learn this from you instead of from experience! Lmao... keep this series going Mate!
@subroc47 жыл бұрын
I love how you were agonizing on whether to leave one egg or two for breakfast, and ended up having zero eggs. Sometime I'd like for you to take some tools out (like your Silky) and have a proper go of building a shelter. Something that you can return to on subsequent trips. That spider infested log... yikes. I would have burnt the whole thing down lol

Hey Pete, the Dickhead Survival series is easily the content I enjoy the most from your channel! You've done a big knife, and an axe, I think you should see how far a quality multi-tool like the Leatherman Surge can take you (woodsaw, knife blade etc) Oh and I have a question, (other may answer as well if they know) What kind of an area is it that you use for these "wilderness" videos, who owns the land? Is it private property? Government/public. And what is the reason it is frowned upon using living trees for survival, even if your are just dicking around. Here (Norway) trees grow like weeds and must be kept in constant check.
@CedricAda7 жыл бұрын
+StoråsStudio the multitool is definitely getting a go next time! Its crown land this time, but sometimes I go up to friends place who have some riverside hectares. We generally have a 'leave no trace' type law where we aren't supposed to do anything unnecessary to the environs. But its not a HUGE deal, unless we start haching down stately old trees:
