Peter Farrar:- Romantic ballad, "Come To My Arms," an ordinary song, does not justify one of the best romantic ballad vocalist to get involved with this music, yet UT turned on comments. Dickie Valentine's performance with "East Of The," was brilliant & sentenced all opposition to the dark shadows of oblivion. Mysteriously UT turned the comments off? Words of dissatisfaction by Peter E. Farrar.

When I was stationed in Gil Gil in Kenya in 1963, Dickie Valentine came with a forces entertainment show. It was a little sad to see a performer who had sung in front of hundreds of people on a tiny stage in one of the local camps to a handful of squaddies

how dare you insult talented singers .yes im a 1960s child and not brought up with superb singers of 1950s sadly .if it was not for rock and roll the not so nice beatles drugs and the rest of horridness in this world. many singers who by the way COULD SING LIVE ,their careers would not have got crushed with British invasion which by the way i ilke the searchers . Music is for all taste not just ROCK AND ROLL So watch your tone bilge actually is bottom a ship so your bilge of insults means nothing .i guess you care less dickie valentine got killed in a car accident I like disco soul musicsome 50s 60s , dislike country music but dont insult dolly parton . i guess your tone will be something not so nice if you were to sing .if you have nothing nice to say dont say it watch your rock and roll till you rock around your clock.

@@brianmorecombe2726 i watched a broadcast hear on You Tube .what i was appalled was marty wilde was having a go a downbeat record tracks like, why just because i love you frankie avalon he yawned yawened well i guess i could yawn at his music but i dont i choose not to buy it to me overrated .Ithe best was BIlly Fury superb voice, i have 16 singles .he could sing and every record did not sound the same .i do like rock and roll just sad it dominated brilliant talented vocalists .you have to think music changes ,sadly now over past 30 years it has become someone repetitive , it has gone downhill in my personal opinion .and i feel the music and vocalists do not have the same attitude and passion like the old skool .we are blessed from the past of these singers like malcolm Vaughan rip, paul anka still going , craig douglas still alive , robert earlrip , nat king colerip , matt monroe rip and many many more superb singers .Music is for everyone but i give credit to those with talent and treasure the memories of them .dickie Valentine rip had a unique voice he was singing up to his tragic death .which is hardly the way the music of today thrives here and gone .
