Dickies 874 vs Wrangler Wrancher (Styling, Fit, + MORE)

Found my first pair at a thrift store years ago, glad to see these are gaining popularity. I’ve since bought 7 pairs. The older US-made ones are slightly sturdier fabric. Out of all my pants, these Wranchers may be my favorite. Plenty of available colors, a durable fabric, they always look fresh, cut works great with sneakers/sandals/Bean Boots/cowboy boots, etc. They go well with a t-shirt or sport coat & dress shirt. Perfect for working at home without dressing like Jeff Lewbowski. Only drawbacks: don’t sit too close to a fire (ask me how I know this) the Wrangler tag on the back (a tailor can remove it) They could come in more fun patterns/colors (stripes, plaid, bright) A relatively narrow hip area (It’s best to go 1-2” up in size)

Love the content man. Just got into dickies a few months ago since I'm from Spain and retail price is like 50-something euros, but I went for a black pair and I'm so happy with them. Definitely will be looking to thrift other colors. I don't see myself getting a pair of Wranglers anytime soon but I do appreciate the look and what they bring to the table, maybe in the future 😉 Great videos, I love your style❤️

I'm a 34-30 in most pants, but always have to go 36-34 in dickies 874's. Every time I buy my true waist, they feel great for like 10 mins. Two washes later, and I'm always reminded why I go a size up. Can't snap the waist clip closed after that.

Not really my go to styling with Dickies carpenter colors but I bet they are made relatively well especially with the price point

Mmm I think polyester pants are good for skating or as shop pants but for everyday wear a cotton chino or wool pant is going to be more comfortable, breathable, and have a better drape. But as Drew alluded to, w/ out a sale expect to pay $60-$120 for entry level 100% cotton or wool options. Drew, I think you would appreciate Land’s End.

What it do? this is super cool that you mention the Waranchers!. I really have found that jeans and pants that fit - at - waist , fit me the best. I wear 874's and of I need a cleaner look for slimmer shoes, I just get them taken in. Anyway I rememver the skinny jean trend and believed that I needed to get that fit, now I understand it is all about proportion. One of the most complimented fits I have had was a pair of tan Wranchers, white button down. This was a vaquero fit for a concert but I realized at the waist pants are it for me. Have you checked out the Rustler work jean? similar fit to Wranchers but in denim....

I have Ben Davis and really like them, Ben's are a wide fit pant that typically stays stiff even after breaking them in. If you like the Dickies double knee you probably like Ben Davis. If you like an extra baggy look go for Ben Davis Gorilla Cut pants. Ben's are usually more expensive than Dickies.

Ranchers in South Africa are a hassle to find . So I just get dickies a size up because I'm a tall guy and send them to the tailor . Nice vid

Both 874s and wrangler skate well. I think I might actually like the wranglers cuz they kind stretch in a weird way. Jim Greco and Dan Pullman both skate wranglers. But can’t go wrong with either🤔
