There's a truth to the saying that "your favorite Band-Maid song is the last one you listened to". There are so many reasons to love this band. This song is brutal live. They do have the outboard effects to put on her voice live. (In this case a high pass filter with a hint of distortion.) They also just released "Freedom live from Shibuya Line Cube".

Hi D. "RINNE" is BAND-MAID's heaviest song & was shot with 8mm film. It's a no nonsense crunch fest & has one of my fave Kanami solos. Kudos.

I'm 60 yrs old and that solo was one the best I have heard in a long time. The last 6 or 7 seconds of her solo is pure lightning coming out of her fingers.

Rin-ne is based on a 2008 Japanese horror flick of the same name wherein the serial killer films his victim's deaths in 8mm to be examined later for signs of the soul leaving the body. The eye reference is about the eyes being the windows to the soul. In George Harrison's Taxman he sings declare the pennies on your eyes. A reference to a British belief that pennies on the eyes delayed the soul leaving the body long enough for god to prepare you a place in heaven. The movie is sick unless you get off on people being filmed while they die slowly. The subject matter of this song is worthy of Ozzy. Thanks for supporting my band. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

@@DavidMISAMISAMISACook Yes indeed. We both have some awareness of the inherent difficulties in exact idiomatic translation between most Western languages and Kan-ji. The exact same symbol can equally be used, for example, for ass, butt, rear, rear-end, etc. So you really have to have some idea or context of which word to use. I have decided that much of Miku's lyrics are autobiographical especially with songs like Dice, and Anemone as examples. I am probably wrong but many of her words made more sense to me when l considered them mostly about her. She can really get deep if you're like me and want to analyze the shit out of it or one can just take them as they are and just enjoy the music. And that's part of Miku's genius as well. @@dicodec Just when (some) fans are complaining that they've gone too pop, they come out with some of their heaviest material. IMO, if you believe in an a band, sometimes you just have to trust them to do some exploration. I'm more of a Rock 'n' Roll guy, but even the poppiest BAND-MAID stuff is quality material.

It is the first song on the Feb 2020 LINE CUBE SHIBUYA Live DVD/Bluray and it smokes. It's not on their official pages but someone might upload it. Maybe you guys should get the DVD and react to every song?

Another option is via CDJapan website who apparently are still shipping to the USA. (I could be wrong on both re. shipping, but DVD/Blu-ray should be available on both sites).

All of those songs are going to be released from Shibuya on Band-Maid's official KZbin channel. One a week or so. It started with Domination and then Onset. On the homepage our ladies said it was in partial makeup for the five cancelled Zepp shows. The next scheduled appearance is on the bill with Slipknot at Man With a Mission on January 11th a month before Nippon Budokan. Keep your fingers crossed. Peace.

Another great Japanese Metal band. I was really surprised that Japan has really got into Metal. They have a great summer music festival that a lot of Great American Metal bands play. STP, Metallica etc. Stay Awesome. 🤘

It's definitely Lo-Fi, both sonically and visually. BAND-MAID went quiet for a time after their first releases from Conqueror, 'Glory' , a commissioned closing theme for the anime Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS, and 'Bubble' a video tribute to the movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Then they released 'endless Story'. Whether planned or not, after rumors that BAND-MAID had gone soft, they release this and stomped all those rumors under their high heels.

There is a great live version of this on a Blue-Ray that pops up now and then, just to be taken down after a few days. Whatever you do not check out the short version of this song "live" recorded for some TV show. I mean it! The sound and mixing is terrible and to shorten the song is hardly an improvement.

R's are hard to pronounce correct its kind if between a r and l sometimes it sound like a d. Alot of reactors misstheir song secret my lips which in my opinion is one of their best. I seen someone below request Alone that is a great song. They also do a "spoof" of some of their songs called band mako it is pretty much the same with the addition of more traditional japanese instruments
