@@KR-dp6cb haha why is it insane? I mean it’s clearly a medicine you need to take until you either die or accept to loosing your hair. It’s not a one week quick fix. If was 26 when I started to take it and I now turned 50 (wow time flies) and I would say I kept most of it all. I had 3 periods when I stopped taking it and several periods of taking it so so. I bet if it had taken it more regularly I would have kept most of if not all my hair. Yeah also: after 4 years I switched to cut the 5mg finasteride pill into quarters and taking it Monday. @TheHairChemist

I see no issue with combining pills as all items are combined in the stomach anyway - both Finasteride and Minoxidil do not have to be taken on an empty stomach. The question is the manufacturer. I only opt for Pfizer with minoxidil and ether Accord or Merck for Finasteride.

You're probably right about how some generic drugs aren't as good. I just wish that doctors and pharmacists would watch your videos because they are insistent that all brands with the same active ingredient are equally effective. @@pappuzk Tbh i've gone back and forward on that one. I don't like how it can cut/permeate the hair shafts. On the other hand, is there a case for it to aid donor healing post surgery via growth factor influx? I've done it post op and I think it helped, but i'm hesitant to mess with the donor area again. I think ultimately, it was a risky call on my behalf to derma roll it. Did you notice a significant difference?

@@TheHairChemist I do 1.5mm microneedling weekly with a machine pen. Have been doing it for a year and noticed it increased the effectiveness of topical minoxidil, as before I didn't really get results( could be a non responder). My hair line has little vellus hairs that weren't there before and the overall thickness did increase . I am still gonna continue microneedling with oral minoxidil (hopefully they also work synergistically). You should read some anecdotal results on tressless if you are interested. Microneedling mono therapy is not a proven treatment but I read so many posts about it was the microneedling that really changed their hair.

That's a great question with divergent answers. Without medication - Norwood 4. With medication - Norwood 2/3. It's difficult to ascertain an accurate guess tbh. The main thing is the mid-scalp & crown are better than before miniaturization started, all thanks to medication.
