Love the thoroughness as always. I especially appreciated the comparison of vertebrae, I had not looked that closely at them to appreciate they were even more different than I had thought.

My thoughts on the webbed feet, tail, or fur has never been that these were unique characteristics, since that would imply universal language and unlimited knowledge on my part. My argument regarding them is that they are distinct, meaning in terms of the webbed hindfeet and the tail, these are unusual features that other mammals don't usually have, let alone together, and so if you did see them on another animal you'd think to yourself that it at least _looks_ like a beaver's tail and webbed feet. It's more harder for someone to argue against that. One can always pull an animal out of their hat (hopefully not a rabbit) that has these features, but they are unusual features, of which are very recognizable as features indicative of a beaver. You'd, at least, have to admit that. Thanks for the video. I haven't finish watching it, but I'll check out more of it eventually. God bless!

A "mammal like creature" is a mammal. If they were found today, they would be classified as mammals. The proper question is, "Did mammals live with dinosaurs?" Yes, hundreds of species of mammals lived alongside dinosaurs.

I really enjoyed this video, some major convergences with beavers, otters, yapoks, and platypus. I love how the full name "Castorocauda lutrasimilis" means "Similar to an otter with a beaver tail."
@NewCreationClipsАй бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! The name tells the whole story, doesn't it? Castorocauda is a weird mosaic form.

I think the point Dr. Werner is trying to make is there really shouldnt be this large a selection of mamel like creatures. Even the modern like birds are present. I think he should have called this more of a cousin to the otter. Thanks for the video.
@NewCreationClipsАй бұрын
Hi @vikingskuld, thanks for watching. My problem with referring to it as a "cousin" to any living animal implies that they are related. I don't think Castorocauda is related to beavers, otters, or the platypus. But as you point out, it is certainly correct that many mammal-like creatures lived right next to the dinosaurs.

Did they? Of course they did. They would have all been on the Ark together.

No beavers did not live with dinosaurs. The distant ancestors of extant beavers lived with dinosaurs. Can't creationists get *ANY* little bit of science right? 🙄
