Actually, we went in the wrong direction when we integrated. I'm telling my age here, but I remember growing up seeing black businesses. All that went away after integration. As far as de-industrialization is concerned, I've heard plenty of people talk about that. Also, in 1920, there were close to 1 million black farmers in the US. Today, there are less than 50,000. We not only lost businesses and factory jobs, we lost millions of acres of farmland.

@@AffordableREI They rallied again for the right to call us b!tches and h0es on the radio. There were women like Delores C Tucker who fought against it but black men actually rallied and lobbied at the courthouse and said it was their freedom of speech. They will be rallying again for police and prison abolition. They know exactly how to fight for and accomplish things they actually want.

Taught Self-Hate is and was a major detriment to our ability to rise correctly. As soon as that word 'integrate' was feed to us, we left self again to become like and live like pale ones (massa). After that we were fed 'assimilation' and transformed into the mindset of I, me, and materialism to destroy that word 'we' that we let go. All that we see is a result of their trickology used on us. Just my thought. Thank you for your post. It was and is needed.

@Lexi 93 I understand we are targeted and other black men know this as well. I just ask that we as black men stop putting ourselves in a situation where we can end up in the system. Is smoking weed really that important to put your freedom at risk? For me the answer is no. I'm not perfect by a long shot, however I try my best to stay away from things that could possibly cause me to lose my freedom.

That is the language of the white liberal & alt-right talking points. We've maintained INTEGRITY throughout history in the face of slavery, jim crow, red lining, wars, great depression 1929, etc. To be honest fast money & drugs are just temptations to live glamorous. My father used to say "seeing that much death was unnatural" Only to come back to Philly with no job, and racial strife, and still seeing more death on the streets of Philly Via the drug war... it was a recipe for disaster...My father was a good man...who was ill from a condition he was put in...I don't blame my mother for leaving...She left to save her children..My father ended up taking his on life via hanging himself...So Mental illness contributes allot to the destruction of our families and souls...Once again the war is upon us, and I hope many brothers are stronger...this was a good video sis...as I wright this my eyes are tearing up...The world lost a good man who was my dad...

The point is to make sure that a single mother is not cheating the system by taking more benefits than she would if she was actually married. The assumption is that if a man is in the house then he is also contributing financially. Thus reducing the financial “burden” (their word not mine) on the state. I looked it up and the total income for a household married or not has to be around $14,000 per year in order to receive benefits. Two people making $1,200 a month ($7.50 per hr) make far more than that. Thus they would qualify for fewer benefits, if they got anything at all. Unfortunately the system is not set up to help people who are the full time working poor. Several of my friends who were single mothers were told that they made too much money to receive anything. In order to qualify one was told that she would have to quit 🤦🏾‍♀️ her second job which was a night shift waitressing job.

i did it out of necessity because the people, especially the men in my life were just complacent not leveling up, and I HATEDDDDDD seeing my circle rearing children and struggling, miserable, and what was worst is them telling their children no for the basics...I swore, I would NEVER allow that... not only would I choose well, I would build myself to not be scared of wealth so that I'd able to handle myself when a man of means comes along for it to be a legitimate union, and not just because I'm in it for his money.... you know that's how alot of our women get caught up. There's alot of bad wealthy men out there... and I think alot of women put themselves in situations out of desperation. At least if you got a little money of your own, you can take the time to choose wisely and afford to be extra extra feminine.... and get the extra beauty sleep, that's how you stay beautiful and youthful. So yeah.. i chose money over my ex who had "potential" ... I regret nothing and peace is upon me.

This has to be one of the top video's on the subject. Kudos to you! I've grown weary between the battle of the sexes, calling men "dusty" vs calling woman "ungrateful". Social issues are complex and require a deeper analysis. You're absolutely correct about de-industrialization. There is a book called, The Hero's fight by Patricia Fernandez-Kelly. She did a 5 year research project in my hometown Baltimore on the negative effects of job outsourcing in the black community. Besides the racist component to the city, many black men in Baltimore lost their jobs over night. Neighborhoods had been completely abandoned over the years because the jobs were no longer there to support the household bills. The men in the case study had it rough. Some of their wives left them. Others never financially recovered. One man was able to retain his marriage because the wife worked a corporate position. Many woman complained that they could not find a "suitable" partner because the men did not have the ability to find adequate employment. So it is unfair to blanket assume that men are Dustys and woman are money hungry. In my opinion, I believe hook up culture also have a negative influence on today's modern marriage rates. I think the take away here is that we need to be more understanding of each other and find commonality outside of money and material possessions.

Umm your comment started off on a decent note but you ended it once again on the "BENEFIT OF MALES" side of the aisle trying to tell women to "not worry about resources". If you want to truly be fair as you said you're tired of the " dusty" vs " money hungry right? If it's fair then both need to find commonality outside 1. money and material possessions AND 2. outside sex, sexual conquest. Once you take money and sex off of the table COMPLETELY does a woman really care what a man has in his pockets? No of course not because her body and future offspring isn't at risk. If he's not sleeping with her does he have to worry about "oops I didn't want to wear a condom and child support ooh no!!". No he does not! Take the money and sex out and that's when things will be fair and balanced. Then you can really have a truly rewarding engagement outside of the usual push and pull. What you'll have is purely PLATONIC and I think that's what should be the real focus.
@b2l421
@b2l421 2 жыл бұрын
@@GoddessBlueYozakura7 It appears you have misunderstood my post. I never stated to "not worry about resources". I stated that a successful marriage is not based on wealth and material possessions. What you present would be a good litmus test, but not equal. Sex is a natural and physical union of a married couple. Money is an entirely different topic and varies on personal preference. Ultimately, to prevent the "oopses" and increased chance of future unhappiness, waiting to have sex till marriage is the best choice. For those who don't, consequences may follow.
@GoddessBlueYozakura7
@GoddessBlueYozakura7 2 жыл бұрын
@@b2l421 No I didn't misunderstand you at all. You said a successful marriage is not based on "money" and material possessions. Actually it is. That's why the men with that statistically have the LEAST resources are also the ones with the lowest marriage rates and the highest divorce rates within the same racial group or even when they date, mate interracially. The whole "sex is natural and physical union of a married couple". Incorrect. Sex is natural for PROCREATION. The very act of sex between THE SEXES is about procreation aka creating offspring. If you don't have RESOURCES to provide then why would you even think of approaching any WOMBMAN for sex? This is where it comes back to DUSTY VS MONEY HUNGRY. What you're preaching is the same CON. You're trying to tell women "money" doesn't matter like THEY ALWAYS TELL WOMEN!! Then you want to say SEX IS NATURAL? SEX CREATES MOUTHS TO FEED SO WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THOSE RESOURCES FROM IF MONEY DOESN'T MATTER? No this is the same old tired mental gymnastics and LOW values that are promoted that keep the same stupid CYCLE of doom to continue. It's natural TO EAT. IT'S NATURAL TO HAVE A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD IT'S NATURAL NOT TO BE SHOT IT'S NATURAL TO HAVE GOOD SCHOOL CHOICES FOR YOUR CHILDREN IT'S NATURAL TO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY MAN THAT ISN'T A PROVIDER FOR YOU AND YOUR OFFSPRING. THE very act of ALLOWING A MAN TO CLIMB ON TOP OF ME TO GAIN ACCESS TO MY WOMB THAT HASN'T THE RESOURCES TO PROTECT NOR PROVIDE FOR ME ALLOWS HIM to diminish my value as a woman, diminish the value of my womb, and by default DIMINISHES THE VALUE OF WHAT COMES OUT OF MY WOMB aka CHILDREN. No that WILL NOT DO. So my point is that TO BE FAIR the best course of action is to keep SEX and MONEY out of the equation if you're truly tired of seeing " DUSTY" and "MONEY HUNGRY". If I can get my own resources He can use his own hands for his own pleasure. See how actually FAIR that is? Another way to say this is that " women don't worry about what's in some man's dry pockets if he's staying the hell out of her wet purse. Why isn't a PLATONIC friendship promoted instead? Can't people work together without the nether regions being " risked"? This is common sense 101. Also black women have been dating and marrying down. It's just not working out.

I had uncles teachers and other strong positive males that showed me all sides of life and the world of “The Game” the ins and the outs and what the street life was about what it can get you financially and where it could end you up if you don’t know when to quit or how to play it or if you need to play it because your not built like that.And also I was taught how to get out there work hard at a 9-5 and what to do with that financial gain when I received it but I also had that group that taught me to go and get that degree and how important it is to have that paper and what it means and shows and tells the world so having all those many dynamics of strong black males and some makes of other national origin helped me to become the strong successful open minded black man that I became who goes out and seeks these younger boys because that’s all they are until someone teaches them what being a man is and what it means to be a man because age has nothing with be a man there are some old boys out there running around I see so many everyday in their late 30s and 40s being a grown man is a mindset a way of life a code that is taught and has nothing to do with getting older or having sex or killing or how much money you make or where you work but how you take care of real business how you carry yourself his you take care of and raise your family how you care for and treat your wife or if you single how you set yourself up for the future and your future with your wife and family to come we have ti as real men seek these boys out and bring them under our wing and teach them what’s real so that they know and grow and pass it on to the next lost boy reasons not excuses prison and craziness is all they know so let’s get out there for those who need it and change what they know into what they need to know and what’s right .

Re: De-industrialization - What you didn't mention is that when this happened. Manufacturing companies declined, while service companies flourished. The service companies provided services, which requires office space, paperwork etc. To create and maintain those workflows (to make their money), you need secretaries, accountants, administrative assistants, supervisors and managers. This is work that was almost exclusively done by women. So Black women are earning money without Black men. Those companies were owned by white men. Those white men were not hiring Black men, who they felt threatened by. So you now have Black women earning money in a new economy that Black men cannot. Then in the 70s, you have the rise of the womanist movement. Now Black women buy into that crap and think that men are not necessary. I call it crap bs when that movement was organizing itself, they ignored Black women who wanted to have equal rights and reached out to the southern racist women. They only came to the Black woman for numbers/bodies.Black women weren't in the board meetings, deciding an agenda for the movement. BW were at the bottom of the totem pole. Yet, what they also did was to weaken the Civil Rights movement bc now the womanist movement has caused a rift between BM and BW. If you don't think that BW weren't at the bottom of the totem pole in the womanist movement, then why didn't you get the right to vote in 1922 along with white women? You got that right in 1965, BESIDE THE BM!!! Your skin color matters more than your sex to the womanist movement! YET you're still fighting against us and have aided our oppressors to destroy the Black community! If you don't think it has been destroyed, I submit this. A community requires a hierarchal structure that keeps the members of the community accountable. BW don't want to be accountable to any one! By definition, we have no community! We are just a group of people with a similar ancestry who don't know where they are going bc they are so divided that it seems that they will never coordinate to move as one - like every other race does!

When I find myself in those type of situations, where I swallow down a logical appropriate response to something that upset me , It's quieted in the moment, but it comes back up at some later time. When is it ever ok to release my feelings? Just know that the energy is still inside me. Femininity requires certain conditions. Strife, anger, disrespect can not promote love or softness. It’s alright to be angry and upset. No one is asking Black Women to deny or suppress their emotions especially if you feel like you’ve been wronged. Just try not to be overdramatic to the point of being ratchet. Black Women are famous for insisting on proving their point by deflecting,avoidance,screaming and laying hands on their Man etc. For the record if you feel violated,disrespected or unhappy you have every right to voice your feelings. Understand Black Women are quick to point everyone’s flaws and faults but their own. In short they are right all the time while placing blame squarely on the Man’s shoulders. This creates an imbalance. No one is saying you have to be a DOORMAT. State your grievance and If the Man that you’re involved with is not really listening to you then end it. Leave and find an amenable partner. Don’t waste your feminity and softness on a Brother who is not worthy. Be tender but firm,soft yet assertive,articulate without threats. State how you feel and if you feel there is no mutual respect being given in return then leave that man,friend or family member alone.

This video was suggested so I would like to respond from my vantage point to something you stated and give you a little testimony. You were not wrong about what you said about how men can change when not being able to provide, but that’s not all cases (not stating you insinuated that thought, this is also for many women that don’t understand that some men are build different mentally). I wasn’t able to provide for my “baby momma” and 3 children, but I was confident that I could. I always had a positive outlook in all things, and the way things were set up, all I needed was some trust and everything would’ve worked out. It was the one I chose to be with and have children with to bring me down every chance she had, especially when she was working while I was home with the children to focus on my art and spend quality time with my children. If I had the proper level of support and love, I would’ve been confident enough to tackle whatever obstacle was in my way, but because I didn’t, I was discouraged and didn’t pursue anything. My reason for falling and eventually walking away was how I was treated during those low moments, but I was also in an abusive relationship where I was tired of getting hit in front of my children, I was tired of vulgur language, violence without retaliation. But God is good!! I eventually got a good job but was taken for $16,000 in child support instead of working with me and doing counseling when I wanted to marry, but counseling would mean she would have to be accountable for how she treated me (not saying I was perfect, but I was very close due to the circumstances I was in lol). I acknowledge the fact that I chose the wrong one and because of that, I’m now a single father of my 3 children I couldn’t support before and blessed beyond measure thank God! Just know sister Erica, all men don’t react in that way when they can’t provide, or even in a bad situation, that’s an insecurity in that man and if he really loved his woman (generally to any man), his love towards her won’t change and vice versa for a woman that treats a man differently when he can’t provide. Struggle is inevitable and it shows the true colors of those we think love us, I loved someone that hated me, which isn’t good and says a lot about how I felt about myself but I’m accountable. At first I almost got caught up in this “Red Pill” manosphere woman hating mess and I actually wasn’t wrong, but I should never hate women as a whole because of my personal experience or even the thousands of testimonies I may have witnessed. Everything is 3 sided, But for us as brown people we gotta leave out the third party and look at the two sides, t’s about support on both ends, reciprocity between the man and the woman. I’m an extremely rare type of Man I believe and because of that I’m in a rare position. I’ll admit, as a single father able to provide does feel good though, to know my children dont have to worry about anything, and trusting God that I’d receive a help meet in his sovereign time because there are good women that exist. I’ll make sure I’ll raise my children right so the future men or woman that comes into my childrens lives don’t bring them hell and/or vice versa. My bad for this long comment just thought I’d let this off of my chest. Thank you for your insight! I will subscribe to your channel! Just thought I’d chime in on that thought!

Recently and after several long years, I left the Ghetto. I was the only Italian in a Black and Spanish neighborhood (they treated me great by the way). Many of the guys I became friends with, did prison time. What I found so amazing was, just about all of them had their own businesses, some two businesses. The long of the short, they had trouble getting good jobs or jobs at all due to their prison records. What did they do, they started their own business and here is a huge motivational factor as to why they did. If you go shopping and buy water, or eggs, or furniture, before you buy it, do you do research to find out who is the owner behind the company you are buying products from. And if you knew who the owner was, would you do a background check on the owner to see if he/she had a criminal record. Probably not. NOW...... here is what I found even more amazing. I knew these guys were smart. I asked them what got you into doing the wrong things that got you sent to prison. Believe it or now, much of what they said was, at the time, they believed the system kept them down, some said they had the slave mentality, and so on. What they finally realized was, true or not, if they wanted to stay out of prison and bring their dreams to reality, they themselves had no other choice but to do it. Here is one more, true story. Two men, from a broken family, in a horrible neighborhood, and a father that did not care. One ended up in prison. One became a huge success, owning his own company. A psychologist talked to both of them. The question the psychologist asked each of them was, "How is it you think you got to where you are today." They both answered pretty much in the same way. That is, "where I grew up, a broken family and a father who abused us, how else could I have turned out." We can break down barriers, or put up barriers before us. What will you choose. Take care yall and yall be good, ok. The greatness is there, within all of us. It's our job the nourish the seeds of greatness, and let them grow. Anonymous Italian.

Good description of what is going on but your statement also reveals the lack of mental evolution of the group because loyalty is the principle of government systems and it is what money is based upon. People perish ,for a lack of knowledge and guidance. So there is no "have to be on survivor mode" from a collective standpoint (yes individuals deal with this fact though) that would be a continuous choice to continue at that "Survivor and Necessity Seeking State".

@@lisa196409 🤨No sis, slavery, willie lynch, jim crow, rampant government sanctioned domestic terrorism against many thriving SEGREGATED black communities, deindustrialzation, school-to-prison pipeline etc. These are REASONS not excuses. Let me guess, I bet you believe that the black woman gained academic access and resources above that of the black man completely of the sweat of her own brow and the white man had nothing to do with that either. C'mon sis, this as well as the modern feminist movement is nothing but white tactics to destroy the black family. Wake up sis. Right now the black woman is the white mans greatest weapon against the black community... and its sad that you all don't even see it. The other side of the black community's problem. Men being too damn sensitive becaise of no fathers in the homes and women letting the white man turn them against the black community.

So you just basically judged a whole group of men based off the comment of one ignorant person during this stream. Most men were agreeing with her during this stream. You’re no better than the “ninjas” you calling out. The truth is as black people now we look for reasons to divide and ridicule each other instead of trying to come together and fix the issues. Nothing ever gets accomplished. Just ninjas talking bad about other ninjas. While listing all the problems in the black community and NEVER talking about solutions. The last part of your comment is spot on though the 70s did start the decline of the black family. You’re right about that.

@@jahdielbenisrael777 You’re right. The black community and people in general should be able to take constructive criticism. But before anyone give any criticism they need to be able to give solutions as well. Without solutions it’s just criticism and really isn’t helping the problem. At that point you’re just venting your frustration to others. That doesn’t benefit the whole community. Also EVERYONE is sensitive about something. To act or talk as if you can’t or don’t show any kind of sensitivity is absurd and that type of person can’t help or give anyone good advice or constructive criticism. But in general I feel you. You’re not 100% wrong at all. And the guy that made that comment was ignorant. I didn’t take it personally as you suggested. I basically did what you did. I criticized your opinion, the same way you did for the comments you disliked. So I guess we both sensitive by your logic brother. See how that works. Full circle and nothing was accomplished cause it was all criticism with no solutions. Stay blessed bro.

@@MRSTyMcC no that isn't a general statement at all.
