A so called friend of my mom's abused my sister one time and my mom took immediate action to make sure he didn't come close to me or my sister again. Police did nothing about the dude and he has a wife and kids. This was 20 years ago.

Yes! It's so difficult for even an adult to tell someone, imagine how much more so for an 8 year old. That 8 year old showed so much courage and strength, she probably doesn't even realize it and may even have stopped the 2 year old from any abuse. I hope one day the 8 year old realizes that she inspired and made a bunch of adult strangers proud.

This mother baffles me, if it was resolved that quickly they obviously found reason to believe it was true and said the guy had to go or the kids would be kept from her so she chucked him whether he was a boyfriend, friend with benefits or whatever. If it didn't happen, social services would still be involved trying to find out why this 8 year old reported to her school she was being abused...either way the dad had every right to keep their 2 year old until he was comfortable everything was fine

Oh my god! The fact that the daughter reported the abuse to the school and she acts like nothing has happened. I will bet my bottom dollar that her girl tried to tell her first and she wouldn't listen. As someone who works with kids in various situation this triggers me soooo much!!! Ladies, of you are a single or divorced mother and you have small kids, please, please take care of your children and watch them like a hawk. There has come out a report by the CSS that predators will specifically target single mothers to "date", just to ear their trust and then get acces to the children. There's a sick world out there!

Like JJ said in the first place, if the allegations were proven false, then there is still a HUGE problem that the eight year old is dealing with. Children usually don't claim abuse to a teacher unless SOMETHING is seriously amiss. Also, sometimes CPS can't prove a case, doesn't mean that nothing happened to the child. Father had every right AND OBLIGATION to keep the 2 year old out of that situation.

Some people just shouldn’t have kids. If one child is suspected to be a victim of abuse, there’s a good chance the other kids in the household are being abused too. She has no common sense.

This is a really sad case. I was so sad for the child and the mother will feel the guilt - rightfully so for her entire life.
