8:08, no, Rey was definitely winning the last part of her duel with Kylo in TFA. It was not Starkiller Base blowing up that saved Rey, but indeed as you said, Kylo being injured, but probably more so: the fact that he was holding back against her, wanting to turn her to the dark side. 8:55, how did TLJ misuse the legacy characters like Luke??? Thanks to TFA, TLJ had to answer why Luke sequestered himself on a remote island while the galaxy was in turmoil. I really don’t get people blaming TLJ instead of TFA when they have a problem with Luke. 9:04: how was the writing not compelling? Compare it to either other film of the sequels, and it far and away had the best writing, especially in regard to dialogue, my god. 😅 Fully agree with you on TRoS though, especially that the original script for EP. IX was incomparably better than what we got. I don’t know why they couldn’t just keep Trevorrow paid and credited as the writer, and have JJ direct it. 🤷♂️ 12:14, I’d say a vast majority of the fans who take issue with a lot of the Disney Star Wars projects absolutely view Lucas Star Wars with rose-tinted glasses, and hold Disney Star Wars to a standard they simply don’t hold the first 6 films to… 14:28, yeah, do you know just how many rumors there’ve been over the years that KK was stepping down or fired? 😅 As with all Star Wars, but especially when dealing with information spread by anti-Disney Star Wars types, it’s best to distrust it and instead only trust official sources. But because people are generally stupid, especially the side of the fandom that seems to make hating Disney Star Wars their personality, even if KK is no longer in charge, they will convince themselves if new projects are good, it was because KK had no involvement in it. Pretending the problem is solely with Disney or KK, is actually part of the problem. The Star Wars fanbase is so incredibly toxic and fickle, and the studios absolutely did listen to the fanbase, mostly the part making the most noise, which wasn’t those enjoying things of course. JJ imo made the understandable but ultimately terrible choice to make TFA a rip of ANH, and in doing so, largely ignoring the baton that was left from RotJ. Then the fanbase screamed about TFA being too safe and similar. And so the studios MARKETED TLJ specifically as being bold and different and controversial. And it was, but the marketing definitely leaned into those elements of TLJ and really highlighted them. Pretty sure every trailer for it included either Kylo or Luke talking about how the Jedi/past needed to die, and the idiots amongst the fandom took that as gospel and, even after seeing the film, mistakenly thought THAT was the message of the movie somehow. But yeah, then fans screamed that it was too different and ruining characters (it didn’t 😅, or at least not the characters The Fandumb Menace likes to say it ruined), and also Colin Trevorrow had a film release and flop, so the studios pulled Trevorrow, and put back in JJ “Fan-Service” Abrams in attempt to again appease the fans. So, the issue there, if you couldn’t tell is that: 1. Fans are dumb, and 2. The studios should have focused on making a cohesive story rather than try to cater to the fans. Another issue is it seems you and many other fans are confused as to Disney’s role and involvement in Star Wars projects. It’s largely if not entirely still been LucasFilm. While Disney, as the owner, still has the ultimate responsibility, I think too many fans mistakenly conflate that responsibility as having some direct involvement in the projects, when that’s not really the case. Credit where credit’s due though, you at least have a more accurate understanding of KK’s extent of involvement than many fans.

I think you missed a big part of the video where I said that star wars has always had its ups and downs and hate meaning it isn't just Disney fault. The rest is more opinion based

@@SchwarzKatProductions, what you said isn’t even remotely a satisfactory response to what I said. I’d expect as much from a bigger channel, but since you’re just getting started, and don’t have to contend with a slew of comments, your response basically would have been better left unsaid at this point. 🫤

@@TinyTorah no reason to write a long comment to argue or debate someone who’s intentions are to insult and accuse. No matter what I type you have already made up your mind on what you believe the video was saying. so why write long arguments or debates if your mind is already made up when I outright said fan reception has always been up and down with the franchise and it’s not just Disney yet you claim I like other fans are confused about that.

@@SchwarzKatProductions except I’m pretty sure I didn’t insult you at all in my original comment, so… Also, I didn’t have my mind made up. Unlike most people, I rarely fall victim to bias and expectations, and watching this video was no exception. I very much was into it at first. It’s fine if you don’t want to engage with my criticisms of your video; that’s entirely your prerogative. That said, I think I’m well within my right to then say your response to my criticisms was largely unsatisfactory and might as well have just not even been said at all in the first place. To clarify on that, rather than acknowledging and own up to some of your mistakes in the video that I pointed out, you just glossed over a bunch of what I said to only respond to I think basically one thing I said.

@@TinyTorah dude, it seems like you're unsatisfied with yourself. Instead of ranting endlessly, why not just write a your own story about characters add stories that you want to see on the big screen

What do you guys think? Is Disney entirely to blame or has Star Wars always had its ups and downs?
@TinyTorah Жыл бұрын
The latter, for sure. People pretending the OT and especially the PT are immune from the same scrutiny cast at the ST are just plain stupid.
