Why is this not in the movie ? Having Connor be the essential conscience of Evan changes the whole dynamic of what he is doing in the story. By cutting that out of the film made undercuts his character development and makes him less sympathetic. Getting rid of this and the song good for you is probably the worst decision that the filmmakers of the film adaptation had done. It's especially wasteful considering that Ben Platt probably won't get a chance to really properly retell the story on film again given his age.

@@janeala-mb8jvNot exactly, but there is a moment where Evan tells Connor’s family the truth and he’s sitting in the middle of a road waiting to be hit. Connor’s ghost is there and he basically convinces Evan to get up.
