The thing is nowadays games can’t afford to take risks like they could in the 2000s, with rockstar wanting to always deliver something innovative and new, that’s much more difficult in 2023 than it was in 2003 as development moved away from a couple guys working for a year or so making something groundbreaking. Now that takes teams of hundreds of people and years to make something that people will want to buy. And putting that much work into something like bully 2 is just not worth the risk.

Im annoyed they stopped making Midnight Club games. Those were my childhood. Loved those games they were my favorite racing games. I cannot stand Need For Speed overly dramatized plot and other things that I could go on and on about. Midnight Club was simple. It kept it about racing. You race and you earn respect and money and unlock cars and upgrades/customization. None of this day and night respect points and cops and crews and shit like that. Midnight club had you garage mechanic and you. I miss the simplicity.

Now add bully,rdr n dlc,max payne3,the wariors,manhunt 1n 2,all midnight club games aaaand table tennis,of course! All on top of the gta games n quite a few of them were really good in their own rights n by no means half assed productions at all. Now it becomes painfully clear, how much truth is in that statement. As compairson... besites online dlc(not one campaign dlc) - Red dead redemption 2 is the ognly self produced release at all despite the fact, that the timespan from gta3till gta5 launchdate for all these other releases is less in length than we wait for gta6 since 5's start on their old platforms. That the situation to consider a 2nd next gen launch even exists for a game that isn't a remaster, is already weird enough on it's own.

i really don't know why you're gassing GTA 5 up so much like its some spectacular game, I think it's really overrated, it downgraded from GTA 4 in so much aspects, the city feels lifeless, the fighting sucks, the gameplay feels basic and the story has bad writing.

6:52 Dunno what drugs you're on because you got it way backwards. They didn't perfect shit in 5. On top of that, everything people liked about 4 basically got either removed and or downgraded in 5. The game is basically Anti GTA IV (and overall a worse game than San Andreas as well).

You haft take in to account that its sooo much harder to make a game live up to the standards of gamling today than it was in the early 2000s, vice city for exemplet took a couple months to make. You cant do that now. Even with more man Power they wont be avible to make a game Living up to todays standard. Plus rockstar did not actually make LA Noire, that just published it, just like manhunt 1 and red dead revolver.
