The only reason you wouldn't is if you think that taking a chemical 7 would make your average roll worse by thinning your deck too much (for a single roll), but if that's the case you're already outpacing the game super hard. I just think NL just wasn't thinking about it because he was already winning.

no point in not taking it most of the time, but its also highly useless for 99% of runs i'd say. 3 symbols that give combined 98 Gold are just not relevant when you get hundreds per spin

@@TheBigWizzard It's always worth taking if your board is not already filled with things that pay out greater than 7. The 77 gold payout isnt even worth thinking about tbh, it's just whether or not your next board will be helped or hurt by a symbol worth 7.

A note on the Daily Special comment. After 20 years in the restaurant industry I can tell you that, unless there is a separate specials menu of 5 or more items, the "Daily Special" is whatever food that is nearing or at (or possibly past) its expiration date. The best you can hope for is that they simply ordered too much of said special.

I'm a lemon person solely because it has Vitamin C. Also lemons are generally bigger and give more bang for your buck. Edit: In theory, stuff with archeologist, Ms Fruit and Diver are the most likely to be able to truly go on forever, simply because they can pay an arbitrarily large amount after a large number of spins. I'd go more with archeologist, due to Golems being able to give 5 things per spin and oysters supplying large amounts of stuff for the archeologist to eat.

Nori the rabbit + golden carrot(rabbit give 5x) + clear sky + moons-rabbit pays almost as well as clear sky suns-flower. Effectively endless. Not quite as endless as sun-flower build though effectively as endless for us humans

Outriders is Gears of War mixed with Borderlands. Art style and combat of GoW. Looting and class based RPG of Borderlands. There are definitely some issues with it that I hope they resolve for the release, but the demo felt really fun!

9:27 My current black suit run is sitting at around 8 million, it is possible to at least reach a million without Sunflower. Basically, Card Shark + Telescope + multiple Jokers is absurd for similar reasons to Sunflower, just with less scaling.

See since there exists a theoretical maximum to be earned in a single spin, but rent owed in an endless run increases linearly to infinity, eventually all runs will die. Even when earning 19 quadrillion a spin, you're still screwed when rent gets to be 76 quintillion. Of course, the extremely nerd counterargument is taking the average amount of time it takes to execute a spin in game and finding it would take longer than a human lifetime for rent to climb that high...

Doesn't rent grow by 500 after each payment in endless? Pretty sure that would make it linear growth; additionally, assuming it does grow linearly each time a sufficient number of pool balls (or pool ball like items) should allow for a truly infinite run, barring other time constraints.

@@innocuous_pseudonym3 you're right about it not being geometric, it's been quite a long time since I was in a math class that distinguished the classes of growth. However, the pool ball trick I do not believe is possible. You'd have to get to the point where your average pool balls added per rent cycle was 500/# of spins in the cycle. Anything less and you're losing ground. But you actually can't add more than one because item capsule means you lose 80% of that spin to add a single pool ball and other than capsule, to my knowledge, you only get items at rent cycles.

Ok, I nerd sniped myself and calculated how long it would take to increase rent just up to being equal to the theoretical max spin. I didn't know where/if the number of spins between rent capped, so I assumed twenty spins and an average speed of 5 seconds per. It would take 121k years at that pace.

Mouse + Ninja with 18 ninjas, 1 mouse and 1 cheese gets you over 1 quadrillion (though still significantly lower than the max sun payout that's over 19 quadrillion).

I think that it would be cool if there was a system to "upgrade" symbols, or have them scale in some way. Some symbols do consume others and get stronger, but my problem is that, most of the symbols/items I see, are only really useful at the start. Pink pepper and pool ball are good examples. They are both good to start with, but it doesn't take long before the amount they give is so negligible, that you may as well not even take them; they won't make the difference between life and death, not after the 3rd rent anyways. Maybe there could be yet another currency that, when used, allows you to combine two of the same symbol to make it better. Pretty much anything would be good, as only the builds that multiply values have any... value late game.

I honestly am fine with zero progression, I sometimes like my games to be what they are, and not change as you play them. This game could easily have the Isaac problem of too many items that are neat but not that great, means the actually good or synergistic items never show up.
