They are stunning creatures. I had to laugh when you made reference to the vet saying certain individuals really want a stuffed animal. That’s how I ended up with a beautiful black smoke Persian cat. I had him for 17 years. He didn’t read the manual on Persians. He was very talkative, playful and friendly. Those little macaws are really special. I hope they get fabulous homes! I can certainly understand how you feel. ❤

I didn’t’ realize Persians are different- interesting! These guys (BHM) have surprised me, they are fabulous. I’ll miss them when they are gone!

Yes. The breeders and books will tell you that Persians are playful as kittens but don’t really play as adults. They will tell you that Persians are very quiet. They also say they don’t have outgoing personalities. My guy. Was very playful. He loved his little toys and loved to play fetch. He was very talkative. I’ve found that the more you talk to your cat the more vocal they will become. He was convinced that anyone coming into the house was there to visit with him. He adored my father and continued to look for him for weeks after his death. Would I ever adopt another? Probably not. His coat was a nightmare. He had to be combed and brushed every 2 days to prevent matting. I refused to have him clipped. And, I’m smart enough to know each cat is different. Those blue headed macaws are beautiful birds. I’m sure is is very difficult to see them go. Perhaps in the future…….❤
