Very interesting topic. Please bring more such content. I have two suggestions: when you mention towns/cities, please also mention which modern state they are in. Second, if you could show an actual kiln and maybe how a potter works on it, the technical aspects can become clearer to a layman such as I. Thanks a lot for your work.

Apart from colour, in terms of functionality, what difference did oxygen/temperature make to the vessels? Did a black pot have different practical characteristics from a grey pot, or was it purely a matter aesthetics?

Most of the archaeological finding in India were accidental. Indian archaeologist should use modern techniques including satellites to scan entire India to find out any ancient remnants that are lying beneath the earth many meters down. Due to the continuous civilisations and many wars fought through out the history, caused the destructions of many cultures and their traces. It is disappointing to see many precious sites are left to rot, like in Bhimbetka. They all should be protected by building enclosures to protect from the elements of nature. By charging visitors a small amount archaeology department can make lots of money and by using this money they can fund further excavations.

5:47 That is not Dr BB Lal. It is MDN Sahi. One would expect any video on Indian archaeology to know the difference. How can you take this seriously? It is obvious that whoever put this video together did a google image search and picked the first image without even a cursory verification. Where are the editors? Doesn't Ms Ahluwalia who so carefully avoids referring to the Ghaggar as Saraswati while making it a point to mention some fictitious invasion/migration take a cursory look at the video before publication?

The painted grey ware pottery appears to be associated with the Steppe immigrant culture beginning 1500bc. The Harapoan black and red pottery would have disappeared in 1900bc when the Indus moved camp in response to a deteriorating warlike atmosphere and imminent invasion.
