British One the doctor’s daughter was a very mediocre episode with some great moments for me. Great review as always but Jo doesn't ask her car to drive her to UNIT but she was using voice recognition to programme a SatNav route. Much like Google Maps or the good ol' Tom Tom SatNav of the day. To be honest, Driverless cars are a terrible idea, not only does it scream car accidents but cars are an excuse to not walk anywhere so it just screams laziness. Things are Hella bad if humans have gotten so lazy to actually drive. If Skyrim had a Laziness branch on its skill tree, this'd be Laziness 100.
@irrevenant34 жыл бұрын
2:43 Personally I reckon the self-driving car thing is even *more* scary now that's on the verge of becoming a reality. Do we really believe self-driving vehicles will be 100% hack-proof? That fear of someone remotely seizing control of our vehicle and using it to harm us is potentially just about to become real. (It makes no sense that ATMOS is an exhaust-filtration system that somehow makes the car automated though...).

He’s crying because everything backfired but laughing out of half disbelief and half acceptance that this could happen. Like he knew that it could happen when he dealt with the Sontaran’s but didn’t believe it would come to it. This may sound like an odd opinion, but did anyone else feel like they were setting up Ross to prehaps be a future companion, Like I could see him being a unit officer that realises that to defeat the intergalactic horrors of the universe, Unit cant just open fire and rain lead and nukes on them, And perhaps this would give the doctor a reason to take ross alongside him for a few adventures to show him how guns, despite what ross was told in his Unit training, are bloody pointless against aliens. Dont get me wrong I know he dies, but the chemistry between him and the doctor, The grief the Doctor had on his face when he realised Ross was dead, It just felt like they're could of been some build up for his character, and maybe set him up to either work alongside Martha in some sort of Spin off Show or join the doctor in 2 or 3 episodes
