They objectively got worse as a team, please look at the numbers the Clippers had before the harden trade, and how well the trio of Russ, Kawhi, and PG were playing. That team with KJ Martin Jr, Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum, and Marcus Morris Sr had way more synergy and the defense wasn’t as terrible as it is right now. To act like the perception of them back then was the same as it is right now is crazy. If Jordan Clarkson didn’t turn into Jesus Christ in that early Jazz game, they would’ve started 4-0.
