Was Top 4 in both career points and rebounds when he retired. Was a good defender and was ahead of his time for being a power forward with a good mid-range game. Boy, Kobe Bryant is overrated. Older Allen Iverson was 46% from the field with Carmelo as his #2 in Denver. Imagine if Iverson had prime Shaquille O'neal in his prime. He would have been 50% from the field. He had no teammates in Philly. He cooked Kobe in that '01 Finals. And he was a 4 time scoring champion before Kobe won a championship. Iverson didn't have the luxury of playing on those stacked Lakers teams. McGrady if healthy and on the Lakers plays better too. Kobe was not efficient.

He credited Rick Carlisle with his improvements. He said if it wasn't for Carlisle he would have been out of the league before he got a chance to start again. When OJ Mayo was trying to make the switch from the 2 to the 1 Billups called him and told him if he was serious about making that switch full time then Carlisle was his guy.
