so joe burrow is the mvp then, if were just looking at personal performances and dont care about the record. and personally , when i played in school, the only job a kicker should have is extra points because the offense scores touchdowns, i played qb (not at a high level or anything lol) and even then , there was no way i was blaming a kicker for missing a field goal, when all a field goal is is the kicker trying to bail out the offense for not doing their job.

Kicking field goals in the nfl is the difference between wins and losses. Ravens are down 3 games this year as a direct result of missed field goals.

Did you not watch the last drive? The eagles played soft prevent defense. They let them take everything underneath. But if we wanna talk hypotheticals and ifs then let's play. Jalen carter was held every other play. The ravens oline is the most penalized line in the league. Not a single call against them. The refs penalized the eagles 8 times for 55 yards, almost all of which extended drives for the ravens offense in crucial moments. The eagles forced 3 fumbles all of which the ravens luckily got back. This game was heavily skewed for the ravens and they still lost. The kicker is part of the team too. But if the ravens are so great then why did they have to rely on their regressing kicker and not just score tds? This excuse is bs. They got dominated by the eagles. Luck, refs, and garbage time td kept it from looking as bad as it actually was.

Even though I'm an eagles fan. I can confidently say, no. One bad game against the #1 or even #2 defense (not sure which, but eagles defense is definitely one of the top 2) doesn't take away all he's done this season. However, mvp goes to either Allen or Barkley. No other way around that, barring any injury. Main thing is, this was one of lamars worst games to date. Another minor thing that media ignores, but thousands & thousands of people caught. How many times did the ravens (one of the most penalized teams in the nfl) oline have to desperately hold the eagles dline & not get called even once? Keep in mind, the most penalized team (105) only got 4 penalties to the eagles 8 & not one of those 4 were for the ravens oline holding. Game could have been a lot worst for the ravens.

How the award works blows my mind. Last year I didn't think Lamar should have won because his team didn't need him to play well to win. But because they won a lot of games he won the Award. He statistically is having a better year this year, but when he's not dialed in, they don't win. If he goes off the sheet and wins out 12 and 5, he is more deserving this year than last year. Conversely Josh Allen had to be AMAZING in all but 1 of Buffalos wins last season, lead the NFL in total TDS and I believe total yards < not 100% on this. Doesn't win the MVP even though he had to do significantly more to get to double digit wins than Lamar had to. That said its wild the difference 1 year can make

In the 2nd quarter, the Ravens had 9 total yards. In the 2nd half, they scored 1 field goal. The score was 14-12, with like, 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. He did nothing, blame the kicker all you want, but the defense did more than enough to keep them in the game and the offense folded
