I freeze framed the plaintiff's complaint and read it. A lot is missing out of the television version of this case with judge Judy. Like the reason it was stored at the defendant's house. It wasn't like the plaintiff just left it there and didn't bother with it . Also according to the plaintiffs complaint he invested $6,000 worth of parts in the car because he was trying to make it a classic including a top sound system, new engine, etc. So the car was worth more than what the plaintiff paid for it because he had upgraded the car. JJ in trying to get these cases done in 20 minutes is not rendering justice in some instances like this one.

The defendant should not have to pay anything. The car was being stored on his (mother's) property, and the plaintiff should owe for storage. The car had been abandoned, and they should be able to perform an abatement and sell it or tow it, whatever.

Well the defendent had it towed to that place, so you can't exactly crash a car, tow it to your house, take several months to pay for damage, then sell it BEFORE you're done paying for damages, and keep the money. I think it was scummy to sell the car without permission for so little money
