@@karinaparra9989 I'm assuming you didn't take your car to the vet, but most likely you took your cat, lol. I hope your cat is doing well now. Last September I had to pay 8k for my dog to have his spleen removed. He had a tumor in it. I wasn't sure if I should get him the surgery because the vet told me that it was 75% chance of the tumor being cancer and even if he had the surgery, if it was cancer, he would only live maybe 6 months, but if he didn't have the surgery he was so sick that I would have to put him down. Also, he's 14 years old, so it was a tough decision, because he's old, most likely it would be cancer and financially. But I had to get him the surgery, regardless if it was cancer, I owed him the chance of being well even though the odds weren't good because he's part of our family. He had the surgery and it was NOT cancer!! My 14 year old doxie runs around like a puppy now!! He's doing so well!! @ericaschaidt8588 Жыл бұрын
I wonder if it was just for Facebook sympathy, or if she was also looking for a payday. I think there’s a decent chance she was hoping someone would offer to just give her money with no further involvement etc. If that’s the case the plaintiff messed up the defendant’s scheme by not just throwing money at the situation, but getting more involved by insisting on the defendant taking the dog to the vet etc.

@@christopherx7035 I was thinking that as well....don't offer to help someone without making it absolutely clear that you except them to pay you back. A lot of people want to act like it's a gift or they're helping someone, then turn around and act like it was a loan months or even years later.

@ericaschaidt8588 Жыл бұрын
@@airraverstazI haven’t gotten to part 2 yet, but as far as we know from this video the plaintiff could have very well made it extremely clear that her offer to help wasn’t a gift. That it was in fact a loan. I do agree that there are people out there who will offer to help someone out, and frame it as a gift then for one reason or another turn around and claim it was in fact a loan not a gift. Those types of people often want the accolades that come with being generous without having to absorb the financial burden. Sometimes they go back on their gist because the person they helped pissed them off, or maybe “slighted” them in some way. Maybe they thought that because they helped the person that they should be grateful so the lender expects the borrower to do whatever is asked of them whenever they ask to the point of it becoming absurd. And when the borrower has had enough or doesn’t perform to the lender’s expectations the lender then calls the gift a loan. There’s a lot of ways unscrupulous people can turn a gift into a loan. As of part one of the case we can’t determine if that’s what occurred here.

"Feeling pressured"? Are you kidding me??? I beg this of everyone. GET DOG INSURANCE! I wish I had dog insurance before my dog Miley went through stage 4 kidney failure. She stayed at the hospital for 6 nights, and the total was around $7,000. I know that having a pet comes with owning up to their medical expenses. They are after all our babies, and mine is a service dog in training. I was struggling with paying her vet bills on time because it was the hospital, around $7k, then each primary vet visit was around $200, and after discharge, it went like this: Blood test every other day (for about 2 weeks) Blood test every 3 days (for about a week) blood test every 2 weeks (for four weeks) And currently, blood tests are once a month. Who the hell expects it to be that expensive? When people said to have money set aside for vet emergencies, I imagined it being $1k or less. I was lucky enough to get help from loved ones, but it took me a long time to even accept it because after all, she is MY dog. I got around $2,000 in donations from Go Fund Me before I closed it down due to guilt. I have to inject her almost every day for fluids, shove 2 pills down her throat and have to still buy her medications which are all expensive and "prescription food" which costs around $3.50 per day. She is only a year old...maybe if she was I do not regret any of it. She is my baby. I am currently filing for bankruptcy because I can't keep up anymore with the bills, and I haven't been buying much food for the past couple of months so that I can get by and I lost 15 lbs lol. My point is,, if you're not ride or die for your dog, you should just foster so that they eventually find a PROPER home, but so you can still give a homeless dog from the shelter love.

When you own a pet, you should be responsible & take care of it; not leave it in someone else’s care, & especially if it’s sick. We’ve owned pets all our life & always took excellent care of them. Our 14 year old Chihuahua died from a stroke about 2 months ago & we’re still grieving over him as if he was a family member. They become like family! In fact, many times they’re more loving, loyal & caring than some family members, & that’s hard to even say. People need to realize that their pets are, or should be a priority to them, love & care for them & not put their responsibility off on someone else. Our pets were always in our care, because we were very protective of them. 😢

Yes, we need better laws for animals where if somebody wants an animal I feel like they need to make a law where people have to take a three or six month class to have a dog or a cat specially dogs just so they know the ins and outs of owning a dog or a cat specially dogs like I said because dogs don’t need just belly rubs and affection and food in their tummy and water I mean of course they do but dogs so much more than that. They need socialization they need training they need exercise I need a Chihuahua needs a 20 minute walk a day every day or every other day, and that goes for all dogs specially, and I mean specially high energy dog breeds people get high energy, dog breeds and they throw them in a shelter because they’re too much because they’re destroying their house. They are destroying the back yard. They keep getting out of the yard or they nipped or bit somebody it’s because those high energy breeds need constant exercise not just walked three or four times a month or one time a week like pitbull Siberian huskies jack Russell, terriers, boxers, dalmatians, a lot of German, shepherds, border collies, blue/red heelers these dogs are not for everybody. I will fully admit these dogs are not for everybody. They need owners who are going to consistently give them outlets in life and exercise them. These dogs do not do good being confined in a house or a backyard their mental health can start decreasing their chemical imbalances in their brains can go out of whack and then when these people finally take these dogs on a walk, they just expect them to be good as gold and listen to them when these dogs are so amped up because they have all this energy in them and that’s how dog attacks and dog bites or somebody gets hurt where their dog jumps up on somebody and knocks the person over but it’s sad that society people just want a dog for its looks or whatever their dream dog is and they want their dream dog even though they know that they can’t give the dog what the dog absolutely needs for its breed or whatever dog is the trend of the year or whatever dog they have seen on movies and TV shows and think they can handle that type of dog I also think it should be a law where these people are done taking those classes for three or six months that then they take a test and the test has you basically describe your daily routines what you like and don’t like to do you know, and then something it down to it coming out with results of what dog breeds would be best for that person and then they’re obligated by law to get one of those dog breeds that is on that list I bet you anything we would have drastically dropped the rates of dog bites and dog attacks and irresponsible dog owners because it is neglect 100% is neglect if somebody gets a dog breed and they neglect that dog breeds needs

You make a payment plan, start a go fund me, ask your family for help, and you can even relinquish your pet to your local humane society, where the dog would have been treated immediately, and when healed - adopted out to another person who would love and forever take care of it. I’ve always heard my older sisters say that people who you haven’t known from childhood or teenaged years cannot become your “friend”. Anyone you get close to in adulthood doesn’t really “know” you and you don’t know them. Personalities and habits have already been cemented as adults and therefore these people are just close acquaintances as best, but not ‘friends’. Time and time again I’ve seen how true this is from observing by what happens between adults when they form friendships. Never lasts. Especially adults out of their 20s.
