The GPDA released a document or an open letter if you want to call it that, wording their feelings towards the FIA and President Mohammed bin Sulayem over the overreach from the agency. Drivers feel disrespected and they want the FIA to back off about non-issues like swearing and clothing. I read through the document and give my thoughts on it.

The fia tried so hard mexico 20 second penalty the vsc bullshit in the sprint. Then to add insult they give a very harsh 5 second penalty. Then the next day they call the red flag 50 seconds after the crash so lando can get a lap and max gets elimited in q2. And with all that against him Max still destroyed humbled and embarrassed lando,mclaren and the fia.

lets assume they really do have to clamp down on swearing then there is no way that responsibility should fall on the driver. If anything the broadcasters should be penalized for not censoring it.

The swearing issue is absurd. I have no problems with the regulations on jewelry. It's quite common to have restrictions on jewelry for safety reasons. Taking off unnecessary items for the duration of a race is simple. Controlling emotions while full of adrenaline is not.
