So Solaris's plan is to change time by consuming the current timeline. But that failed, so he sends Sonic and Elise back in time to erase himself out of existence thus changing the timeline. So he wins either way.

I like the concept that Mephiles wanted Sonic to defeat Solaris after being bored for too long. It would explain why all the Main Characters were magically together on the last act. He put them there, so they can get the Chaos Emeralds and save Sonic. Then his goal was to rewrite the future by being defeated, which is still in his sadistic character because none of the characters get to feel the emotions they felt, went on any epic adventures, or bonded closer.

Tbh they could make sonic 06 a really good game, the only elements that are lacking are controls, glitches/bugs, graphics, sound effects, animation, and voice acting. All things that can be reworked without sacrificing the core of the game itself. Hell, tons of fans have already recreated a few levels and made them run like butter. It can be done

In a way i think he did win but not with an explicitly stated goal such as rewriting time or merging with iblis, those may have been sub goals needed to set the following events in motion. Maybe his ultimate goal was to be erased from existance but couldnt do it himself. Think about it, being immortal and timeless may sound awesome at first but when you really ponder what that entails, once youve exhausted everything there is to do over the course of god knows how many lifetimes you've existed, you would eventually want it all to come to a close or you'd completely lose your mind. Maybe he tried alternate methods in different timelines to no avail, maybe being the villain was the only way to motivate the heroes to erase him. Being unwilling to live and unable to die is probably the worst curse i can think of. Perhaps with this ending mephiles can be set free. Also in light of recent events, you might want to upload copies of your videos to other platforms just in case shit hits the fan.

In that case, Mephiles could've been the Ardyn Izunia equivalent of the Sonic universe I've conceptualized the same idea too on my 06's headcannon, borrowing some elements from FFXV, from botched vacation trip with the bros (Knuckles, Tails and Amy's role would be more prominent here in my headcannon, just like Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis did in FFXV, except this time it's not because of the kingly duty and more of tight-knit band of adventurous anthro buddies), Mephiles working with Eggman to advance his goals like how Ardyn working with Iedolas Aldercapt, three super-powered hedgehogs referred as the warrior of light, and how Sonic was transported into a realm of emeralds (Chaos/Master Emerald?) upon his apparent death by Mephiles, taking some inspiration of Noctis's ten year slumber after he touched the crystal on Zegnautus Keep, Sonic's soul in this realm would gain wisdom and insight about how the chaos engulfs when Solaris awakens from the keeper of that realm, revealed to be Tikal from SA1, and here he discovered that himself, Shadow and Silver were prophesized to save the world from Solaris's wrath, before he was sent back to life with the help of Elise and Knuckles praying upon the chaos emerald and master emerald on the world outside of the realm, now turned into Solaris's space-time rift.

We know Mephiles did achieve his goal by joining with Iblis in Sonic 06 and attempted to erase the timeline in Soleanna from past to future. I'm not sure if it also affected the whole world and or universe during the Final story in Sonic 06. But did Mephiles win in the end? No, he did achieve his goal but he'd likely had to attempt to rewrite history when everyone were in this time space rift in the final story, but when the final battle came down Solaris got struck down by the heroes. Throughout the final stages, there are 2 different wormholes, one with a spit attack and another with a suck in to oblivion. The monuments in the stages that help restore the time space rift world, I have to imagine that is there by the very original spirit of Solaris. My theory on that is with both Iblis and Mephiles being dark entities, the original spirit's power remained dormant within those two until the time was right and necessary, should there be any time and space mess. As for the variety of different timelines, that would've been very different since he had to play his part in one way or another, but never achieved his goal. I doubt he'd destroyed the Egg Carrier 3, as we saw Sonic involved with wrecking the ship somehow. I doubt Mephiles made some encounter with Elise since she's too important by having Iblis within her body and spirit. We don't even know if he wanted to really rewrite the future. Let me try to put it like this, Doctor Strange in Avengers Infinity War and Endgame has the ability to view all kinds of outcome but plays out one particular timeline, he said what he only did said, he did what he only did, and believes that almost everything will play out right to the end. He knew the outcome of what's to come should anything happen to alter the path of the timeline. Mephiles must've tried to do that to achieve his goal to win, but didn't realize that there would be some alternate thoughts and beliefs taking place.

I think Mephiles just wanted to die i mean he's already failed countless times playing the same game over and over he must have realized he can't rejoin with Iblis, even at the end of Sonic 06 when he finally gets his wish it's short-lived but if that was his intention maybe he was trying to break a loop of some sort, to be free from the suffering of Iblis destruction. If that's not the case it could be he wanted to escape his reset timeline.

Undyne and sans Sans is that guy that the more you look the more you find, he start as a comedian, an then a scientist and someone that can read you seve file, and also is trying to rescue someone from nowhere it self, pretty good build up. Undyne, i think she needed more construction, most of their true powers are not even mentioned if you dont do the genocide run after already understanding the true lab experiment what needs you to actually get out of the intended route and read tons of dialog, which is not cool

I'd say that he did technically win, he killed Sonic (Something that no one else has managed to do), and released Iblis, fused and became Solaris. He achieved his goals, he told Shadow he would rewrite the timeline, Sonic and Elise did that for him, because the timeline was reset his "death" may have been undone anyway, which is ironic when resetting the timeline is how they tried to defeat him. Conclusion; Probably

Silver and Blaze (if 06 is the canon iteration of the two) only makes sense in their one game. Thus Silver, despite being a fun character, has no reason to exist in the series. But since we’re in the meta era, I don’t even care. Continuity doesn’t exist anymore.

There's two versions of Silver and Blaze; Rivals had a version of Silver and Rush had a version of Blaze, the Rush version of Blaze is from a different dimension rather than the 06 version being from the future. The dimension version is canon at this point, as for Silver, no idea. I would guess it would be the Rivals version that we have now if Generations didn't elude to it being the 06 version, I'm pretty sure Sega doesn't even know which Silver we have right now

Oh man the end of the world was one level I had a very hard time on, hard enough that I started to hate it, especially the silver part, but it was a good final level

Black Doom also won. He devastated the planet, landed the comet, and gave his people an absolute feast. It literally took one of his own children, a child who in another timeline he allowed to destroy the earth as a form of therapy, to stop him... And even then it was by the most magnificent of flukes, thanks to Team Chaotix finding the records and Shadow having past experience at breaking out of mind control (thanks to Gerald)... ---------------- And honestly Black Doom deserved the win. A plan fifty years in the making, where he struck the entire planet suddenly... with the good sense to go straight after the Chaos Emeralds and the World Leaders. Only making his grand declaration when he had effectively won and the Black Comet was swiftly xeno-forming the Earth, and that grand speech served the double purpose of pressuring surrender rather than just gloating.

I'm really confused about why Silver's future is so full of lava. If Iblis was released even via Elise's death, we would've seen a sign of it right after Eggman's airship fell down and exploded. Did anything indicate that happen? No, of course not, therefore Iblis' spirit would've been stuck in Elise's remains forever, thus rendering Silver's future nonsensical. We do know that Iblis can be released with Elise crying, but we've only seen her cry when Mephiles killed Sonic. We also know that Mephiles went to the future to convince Silver that he could change the future by killing Sonic, but why is Silver's future even bad in the first place if Sonic was not killed and Elise didn't cry? This is just my way of thinking, maybe I missed some spots when thinking about that, you tell me.

The experiment never happened. Mephiles and Iblis never came into existence. Elise never held Iblis' spirit. Mephiles was never trapped in the Scepter of Darkness. Mephiles never met Shadow. Silver's future was never destroyed. And Sonic never met Elise because Eggman never tried to capture her at the festival.

I'mma just say, this is nice and all but you really didn't do good for yourself with that near end section with all the villians who failed, namely Shadow. Shadow succeeded in what he wanted, to honour Maria's wish, the fact that he didn't know what her wish was, was Gerald's doing, who is a Villian who failed.
