I've had a new A35 five months now replacing the earlier model. Better in many ways, build, equipment, 8sp gearbox, mild hybrid, looks etc. It gets off the line instantly and will keep up with anything to 30 mph, thereafter it's down to power. The new software is really good. I think mine doesn't 'pop' as much as the old one, maybe it just me. This is a major 'facelift'. I did consider the A45 but the PCP deals were ridiculous, nearly 911 money. There's a deal on a35s currently.

Reason for it not popping as much as the old one is due to the OPF. Its twice the size of the prefacelift A35. I have had mine removed and it sounds mega

I've got a 2019 A35. and I think the main difference is when you rev the pre-facelift, the exhaust doesn't pop, it just revs. Great to see they've put that in. it's a shame the pops are still synthetics but well spotted!

Hey@@pantelas9358! I must admit, I've had no problems with it. 3 years I've had it now and not a single mechanical or electrical fault. The only problems I've got are how much things on the MBUX cost and an annoying rattle in the steering column. I've got the premium plus and I would probably avoid this to be honest. I hate to say it because I love the car but you'll never get your money back from it. I've spoken to people about it and it's almost like an unknown when you go to trade in, it's quite a rare car apparently so dealers I've had offers like 8/9k under what one with my mileage would go for. Overall great car, if I swapped now though, id be tempted to go for something a little bit older. the tech is good but when you've got to pay monthly for it, it's just a waste.

This is fantastic engine and has potential to have around 400 hp early ( exhaust, map, intercooler and eventuri intake system). Mild hybrid system this is one benefit but also speedshift mct 8-speed from A45 which is crazy fast. Going back to engine. This is not tuned 1-1 A250 engine. They installed much stronger main bearings crankshaft and valves and engine is forged (not so like A45 but they improved very well). They improved this car much comparing to previous model. Im ower of 2023 A35 AMG with aero package in grey mountain color. I will update my feelings when car will have more than 1500 km to turn on Sport+ and check potential. Also I was driving A35 2019 model so I'll compare.

Hello, after the break-in phase, can you now give a report in comparison to your predecessor A35, have the problems with the cylinder head in the older engines been finally resolved during the facelift (Mopf), and will this reinforced 250 engine actually be used by AMG Built because it is missing the engine badge from the AMG fitter, as is standard with every A45 delivered. The new 8-speed gearbox is even faster when changing gears, but what about now with the new 48 volt battery as support, you really notice the additional 14 hp.

Mix of that battery and gearing with the 8 speed I would say - Golf R gets much the same extra beans with better gearing but this LCI A35 benefits a lot from that battery! :)

As others have said, it's the A180 & A200 petrol and diesel that are Renault engines. The A220 & A220d are both mercedes engines. As is the A250 which upon the A35 is based so A35 absolutely has Merc engine thank god! Also the A45/A45s is also Merc engine but these are different and hand built in Germany which the A35 engine is not. Also just to add the likely reason the newest A35 feels faster is due to its mild hybrid system in use that the pre-facelift didn't have so gives way better response immidiately.👍:) I'm actually a BMW driver but owned a lot of mercs including many flavours of A class when they first released the W176 shape 👍
