After 12m of an a35. Premium or premium + are a must. Aero pack & wheels also. Gearbox is quick but quite jerky, esp when cold. Engine v nice, pulls harder past 5500/6k rpm (vtec style). Harsh ride without ride control option. Great all rounder. Best in class

I also own an A35 and struggle with fuel but I’ve found by putting the car into the “slippery” mode it reduces engine use and all round power of car still goes mind just ups the mpg I find, if you want to tell him

Braking problem you mentioned usually happens after hard brake application, then keeping the brakes on while waiting in a traffic jam or at traffic-lights. The heat gets trapped and makes the metal expand at that spot, which is the juggle you feel when braking.. Doesn't mean they're worn, they just lost comfort
@richardjohnson5244 Жыл бұрын
So Is that the actual break disc expanding? Or the pads?

Great honest vid. I bought my A35 at the end of Jan and it's currently averaging 27mpg, but I mainly use mine to drive to the station and back. Can't believe you lowered it - the only issue I've had is it's too low and can scrape on speed bumps (there's one at my daughter's school I can't get the car over). The suspension's a bit stiff on country lanes but on normal roads it's a fun drive and packs a punch with performance.

Great vid, thanks for that. I have always had golfs and was planning on getting the mk7.5 r, but thought I'd test drive a few others, this included and I was blown away by the a35, defiantly my favourite, so was good to see a 1 year perspective. I would probably average 24k miles a year too, so spot on.

I am a bit late in commenting here but I enjoyed the video, excellent.I am a new A35 owner having had an Audi Quattro A5 Sportback 2L turbo previously.A35 is so different, handling is great on Pirelli and possibly even better on Michelin 4s.I find it a bit heavy on fuel as soon as you do short journeys or have a bit of fun.I have however had 47 mpg on a long steady trip at 60 on M5/M6 which is impressive.I also have a C63 and that does give you fuel anxiety on a long run.My A35 is not Premium Plus so suspension is not variable and is pretty harsh however I fit the seat well and I don’t mind the harsh ride, and I’m a retired old bloke.I think they are great cars that do everything well with good connectivity, room in the back , performance, safety and luxury.Premium Plus would be nice but then I went for newer and lower mileage instead.Servicing is priced as a standard A Class and not as expensive as A45 which is good and yes a service pack is a cheaper way to fund the servicing.

@ashleypatton7004 жыл бұрын
It’s one of a few things. Either cold judder or thermally induced judder are different things. It’s all about what the drive cycles are - cold judder is usually a build up of disc thickness variation (DTV) from a number of part and installation tolerances. Thermal judder has a combination of things going on which could be to do with disc / hub design etc.

@Barmybob3 жыл бұрын
Somewhat worrying that factory discs would be warping, if it was my car I would be seeking a warranty claim. Warping is normally a trait of cheap, poorly manufactured discs or pushing the brakes well beyond normal use, heavy track day use for example.
@Barmybob3 жыл бұрын
However most common cause of brake pedal vibration is not warped discs, it's disc surface contamination. This is most often a symptom of keeping the brakes applied when the discs are very hot. Can be remedied with one of these - hunger-maschinen.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/E-326a-Maschine.jpg
