Did you listen to this? Your mountain of evidence is from no earlier than 150 years after Mohammed as supposed to have existed. The word Mohammed is only mentioned a couple of times in the Koran and is easily interpreted as “Blessed be …” The Hadith were only collected after 200 years after he was supposed to have existed and are all over the place in terms of what Mohammed said or did. The core texts of the Koran have been clearly traced to pre-7th century Christian and Jewish texts. (if you are unclear on times Mohammed was supposed to have been active in the early 7th Century. ) Just think about all the beliefs around Robin Hood, King Arthur or Paul Bunyan. Lots of stories. Not real people.

If his companions didn't exist, then there were no wars of apostasy or civil wars or invasions. If there were no civil wars, then there was no schism. No schism, no Shiites. Some of the surahs seem to have a personality engaging in argument, rather than just repeating Bible stories and a few stubs of shadowy prophet figures from just east and south of Israel, so maybe there was a group of preachers, rather ignorant and given over to violence when they didn't get their way, with as is often the case, a dominant figure. Then this ultimately taken up as a religious text by Abd El Malik at the end of the 7C, with his Arabisation drive and so he could gain legitimacy with his own religion, forked off Christianity, but then working on the over-primitive script, lots of mistakes were made, so the Qurans of today in their many qirats are from Hajjaj's version, and he and his redactors did not understand the Aramaic sources so that brought in errors, as well as the original ignorance of the primary authors.

What is taqiyya (Muslim deception) and why does it matter? Ask a Muslim and these are the typical responses: 1. Taqiyya is only for the Shia 2. It's only for defense 3. It's not allowed 4. Christians also do Taqiyya 5. Taqiyya is not lying 6. You can't possibly understand it 7. I've never heard of it 8. There's no such thing 9. It's only when your life is threatened 10. It's only during times of war Islam is a religion of war and its core strategy is deception. The doctrine of deception is called "taqiyya" by the Shia and "muda’rat" by the Sunni. The general term for all Muslims is "hiyal" i.e. "legalistic trickery". Taqiyya comes straight from Quran 2:225: "Allah will not hold you accountable for unintentional oaths, but for what you intended in your hearts. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing." Also, in Quran 3:28, the word for "precaution" is تقية which is Taqiyya according to the qiraat by Ya'qub al-Yamani. "Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution (تقية i.e. Taqiyya) against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination." All Muslims do taqiyya and tap dance. I have never met one who actually answers your questions. They are behaving like Allah. Quran 3:54 says "ومكروا ومكر الله والله خير الماكرين" "And they deceived and Allah deceived, and Allah is the best the deceivers." Taqiyya has 2 forms: (1) defense against religious persecution or (2) jihadist weapon against unbelievers. Muslims will always insist on the first form when asked about taqiyya and hide the second form from the kuffar. It is the second form of taqiyya which is practised every single day on KZbin. There are 3 main strategies in taqiyya (or muda'rat or hiyal): (1) Muruna - “Flexibility” to blend in with the enemy or surroundings, like drinking beer or being tolerant of gay people, believing that it is permissible to deceitfully behave in an un-Islamic manner if it serves the greater goal of advancing Islam. So when you speak to a Muslim, expect him to mislead you. Misrepresentation, dissembling, gaslighting, doublespeak, etc. are 100% ok by Muslims and sanctioned by Allah and the "Best Example for Humanity" Muhammad. An example of taqiyya is "Islam is a religion of peace". After intense cross examination, and if you're lucky, the Muslim will admit that what he actually means is "Islam is a religion of peace AFTER the whole world converts to Islam (and the Islam of his sect and his particular teacher)." If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish it through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible..., and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory. ...One should compare the bad consequences entailed by lying to those entailed by telling the truth, and if the consequences of telling the truth are more damaging, one is entitled to lie …”. Most non-Muslims are completely bamboozled by this. Especially Christians. Little old Christian ladies would chide other Christians for lying about Christianity even if it was done to "protect" or "spread" the religion. Most non-Muslims just cannot compute that a religion can allow and even oblige its followers to lie to defend and spread the religion. They keep defending Muslims and insist that "all religions teach honesty" and "all religions teach peace". It’s quite comical and sad. Can you imagine having a taqiyya spouting Muslim as a co-worker or boss or family member or politician? If the early group were Syriac Aramaic speaking Christians , more like Ebionites, who also seem to use quite a lot of Gnostic material, and with the very unusual stories about Jesus, titled Muhammad (the praised one), perhaps some of the stories about the later War lord Muhammad are actually about various strange alternative Christs? There's a suppressed gospel where a young Jesus sounds a bit like Damien out of The Omen, could some of these 'histories' of M2 be a continuation from that? Perhaps after most people only spoke Arabic and after all the disruption that happened almost everyone was clueless about the original sources..or whoever was doing the editing thought it less offensive to package up the stories into a different person?

I don't know much about the historicity of Muhammad, but I've spent a lot of time studying the historicity of Jesus. The evidence for the existence of a historical Jesus Christ is actually quite bad. The references in Josephus and Tacitus are not at all reliable. I would encourage anyone interested in the issue of the historicity of Jesus Christ to check out the work of Dr. Richard Carrier. Carrier's major work is the peer-reviewed academic monograph "On the Historicity of Jesus: Why We Might Have Reason To Doubt." Carrier's "Jesus From Outer Space" is a friendlier version of the same material. Dr. Carrier's blog also has an enormous amount of free information about the historicity of Jesus, the New Testament, ancient history, etc.
